Canadian Transit Visas 2020: Canadian transit visa is a non-immigrant (temporary) visa that allows you to pass through the Canadian while traveling to another country.

This visa will not allow you to stay in Canada. If you wish to visit Canada. You should see if you are eligible to apply for a visitor visa.

Canadian Transit Visas 2020

A transit visa comes in two forms: Direct Airside Transit Visa (DATV) which is limited to 24 hours and you must remain ‘airside’ (i.e. cannot pass through immigration) and a Visitor in Transit Visa, which is valid for 48 hours and allows you to change airports (and terminals at airports where you can’t do that airside).

Guidelines/Requirements

Direct Airside transit VISA application process. I have followed the below steps and I got a VISA in six working days. I want to share my experience with all of you.

N/B: Those who are staying in the united states without valid VISA and want to go to India via London we need Direct Airside transit VISA. 

A visa is not required to transit through Canada. The traveler must be in possession of a passport valid for 6 months beyond travel dates, a round-trip or onward ticket, and a valid visa for the next destination (if required).

  1. Passport Requirements: Original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay, and with at least two blank passport pages available for stamp(s).
  2. Proof of Travel Arrangements: Computer generated flight itinerary from the airline or a travel agency or showing entry and departure from Canada.
  3. Other Requirements: Valid onward destination visas (if applicable).

Register Your Trip with the US Embassy:

The US State Department strongly encourages American citizens planning international travel to register with the US Embassy(s) in the countries they plan to visit.

For just $20.00 per traveler, Travisa will complete the State Department Registration for the applicant. Official notifications about travel advisories and warnings will be sent to the traveler registered.
