1. Aloysius Iyorgyer Katsina-Alu (born 28 August 1941) was a former chief justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He is from Ushongo in what is now Benue State. Katsina-Alu has been a member of the court since 1998.

Babangida resigned under pressure to cede control to a democratic government. Shonekan’s transitional administration only lasted three months, as a palace coup led by General Sani Abacha forcefully dismantled the remaining democratic institutions and brought the government back under military control on 17 November 1993.

She served with distinction as one of the most prominent leaders of her generation. She was also the first woman, in Nigeria, to drive a car.
