The POSCO Visiting Fellowship in USA 2024 Application Guide Updates

The POSCO Visiting Fellowship: Applications are currently invited for The POSCO Visiting Fellowship Program 2024. The POSCO Visiting Fellowship Program has the purpose to promote research activities on Korean topics at the East-West Center. 

The program is calling outstanding scholars and policy makers to engage in policy-relevant, contemporary research on political, security, and economic issues in Northeast Asia, as they relate to Korea.

In case you are interested in research or the areas specified, you should not give up on this opportunity.

Fellowship Benefits: A stipend and round-trip economy airfare between their home base and Honolulu

Important Information

You are required to give one seminar, prepare a quality paper for publication, and participate in activities of East-West Center.

You may be asked to join local outreach and public-diplomacy activities.

Areas of research:

(1) The two Koreas and Northeast Asia;

(2) Security issues for Korea and Northeast Asia;

(3) Economic and social issues in South Korea; and

(4) Political challenges in Korea

POSCO Visiting Fellows customarily provide a presentation on their research activities and findings at a center-wide seminar at the conclusion of the fellowship.

If you can provide some of the cost of the fellowship, show what costs they can cover.

• Application form
• A cover letter
• Curriculum vitae
• Names of three referees, including full name, title, address, telephone and fax numbers, and email address
• Research proposal (3 to 5 pages) – you can check out the detail of the proposal
