The Premier League, also referred to as the English Premier League is the highest level of the English football league system. The Premier League management has made an enormous rise in the prize money of this event as the Champions of this tournament will take home figures amounting to £150 million.

Premier League Last Season Prize Money

In last season on the behalf of the very impressive performance, Manchester City which succeeds to win the title of champions had earned £ 38 million as prize money.

The total amount for Premier League including TV funds is nearly £8.36 Billion for three years which includes both domestic and overseas matches.

Premier League Domestic TV Money

The domestic portion of the money will be divided among 20 clubs according to the following model.

  • 50% divided equally (That’s around £38 million each for all 20 clubs)
  • 25% Merit-based: divided according to final league position in 2020-21 season (That’s around £2 million for 20th place team rising higher by £2m for every position all the way to £24 million for the champions)
  • 25% is divided as facility fee: to all clubs depending on how many times teams match was shown live. (that’s around £1 million for every live game or guaranteed £10m if a team only had 10 or less live matches)

 Premier League Overseas TV Money

The overseas match of all 20 emerging clubs of Premier League includes £ 47 Million and this amount is distributed equally among the clubs of this event.

The 2020/2021 Premier League Season

Premier League has confirmed the TV money distribution and prize money for the 2020-21 season and the eventual winners of this year’s premier league title will take home more than £150 million.

While the bottom clubs are also set to take home over £100 million.
