10 Good Wedding Anniversary Prayer Points of the Faithful.

Good Wedding Anniversary Prayer Points – Marriage is hard. It is incredibly hard. But a lot of people do not like to admit this truth. This article aims at encouraging us to pray in our marriages because prayer turns things around; Prayers are powerful; Prayers make a difference. Pray with faith, not fear. If you are a single person, it is also important for you to pray for your would-be marriage.

Spending eternity with someone who is different from you is not quite a walk in the park. It truly has its ups and downs, its highs and lows.

There is disagreement, as well as agreement. There is breaking, at the same time making.

Marriage is incredibly difficult but when handled right, it is extremely beautiful. This is why prayers for marriage really matter.

Taking time to pray for your marriage is one of the most rewarding things you can do for your relationship to last.

If prayer is made a priority and not an option, then handling a lot of issues will be much easier and rewarding.

I know for sure that prayer makes a marriage stronger and longer. When I pray for my marriage, I obtain clarity. I see peace. My faith in God is increased. The place of prayer chastens me.

It helps me feel the presence of God and most importantly, it helps me speak life into my marriage.

It is true that our marriages have an enemy. The secret enemy who wants to steal, kill and destroy wants to devour your marriage. In this case, the only most powerful weapon you have is prayer.

It is impossible to fight a spiritual battle using physical tactics. It is truly funny how easy it is to quarrel with your spouse in your homes, rather than ‘quarrel’ with God in the place of prayer.

Or how stress-free it is to complain to a friend or family member rather than speak with God.

Or how easy it is to worry about issues rather than pray to God about them. What if all the quarrels, complaints and worries are turned into prayers?

below are 10 Good Wedding Anniversary Prayer Points of the Faithful:

1. Father, I’m grateful for the spouse you have blessed me with.

“Whatever thing that is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father, who made all the lights in the heavens.” (James 1: 17, NLT)

“Be grateful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18, NLT)

2. Father, help me to be forgiving and tolerant towards my husband or wife.

“Create allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who wrongs you. Remember, Heavenly Father forgave you, so you must forgive others.” (Colossians 3:13, NLT)

3. Father, Help and teach me to love my spouse unconditionally.

“Love is patient and kind”. Love is not envious, boastful, proud, or rude. It does not demand its own way.

Love is not ill-tempered, and it keeps no record of being wrong. It does not celebrate about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gets tired, never drops faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every situation.” (I Corinthians 13:4-7)

4. Father, may my spouse fulfill your plan for his or her life.

“I knew you before I designed you in your mother’s womb.

Before you were born, I set you apart and selected you as my prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5, NLT)

5. My spouse and I seek you first before any other thing.

“Seek first the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will offer you everything you need.” (Matthew 6:33, NLT)

“Nevertheless as for me and my household, we will worship the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15)

6. Teach us to depend on your power through every tough moment we face together.

“I pray also that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for those who trust in him.” (Ephesians 1:19, NLT)

7. Lord, help me to bridle my tongue and not say hurtful words to my spouse.

“Let your speech continuously be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you should answer each person.” (Colossians 4;6, ESV)

8. Lord, help my spouse and me to yield not to any temptation that may come our way.

“The trials and temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is so faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be heavier than you can stand.

When you are tried, he will provide a way out so that you can endure.” (1 Corinthians 10:13, NLT)

9. Lord, detach my spouse and me from every evil company.

“Don’t be deceived, bad companies corrupt good morals.” (1 Corinthians 15:33, ESV)

10. Lord, May your peace reign in our home.

“Then you will obtain God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand.

His peace will surround your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”  Amen. (Philippians 4:7, NLT)
