How Schools Will Conduct 2021 Post UTME/Direct Entry Admission Screening.

2020 Post UTME/Direct Entry Admission Screening: Admission into Nigerian tertiary institutions get tougher day by day.

Most candidates seeking admission into universities, polytechnics and colleges of education in Nigeria finds difficulties in preparing for admission screening exercise.

This has been a major challenge for 2020 JAMBITE, that why we’ve spent the to craft this guide which will serve as a mirror picturing the upcoming screening exercise update.

The article below will explain how higher institutions in Nigeria will be conducting screening exercise for Post-UTME and Direct Entry applicants 2020.

Post UTME/DE Admission Screening Methods

1. ONLINE SCREENING: Some schools will only require you to only upload your UTME and O’level results as well as other relevant documents online.

This may be all that is required for you to be screened for admission. The school admission officers will now have to go through all the documents and details you have provided to determine if you are qualified for admission.

2. PHYSICAL SCREENING: Some schools, instead of demanding your documents upload online, will rather ask you to present your document physically in the school premises or any other designated venue at a specific date which will be communicated to all the candidates who applied to the school.

However, for some schools, even after uploading your details online, will still demand that you come physically to the school for screening.

All you need to do is to visit the school on a specific date and go through the screening exercise. The screening comprises mainly of checking your results and relevant documents to be sure it is the same with the one you uploaded.

3. APTITUDE TEST/INTERVIEW SCREENING: Based on directives from JAMB this method of screening should only be for Direct Entry (DE) candidates. However, despite the fact that JAMB has directed institutions to stop conducting exams or any form of test for UTME candidates as a means of screening them for admission, some schools, mostly private universities still do so.
