The Goal of NIPEX (The Nigerian Petroleum Exchange)

According to the General Manager, Nipex (The Nigerian Petroleum Exchange) goal is to be a globally competitive e-procurement platform that provides fast, efficient and transparent world-class supply chain activities in order to optimise the cost of doing business in Nigeria.

Also, to make transparent the activities in the oil and gas commercial space thus meeting the needs of all stakeholders and keeping faith with international transparency standards.

Notice to All Nipex (The Nigerian Petroleum Exchange) Suppliers

Nipex JQS pre-qualification process is incomplete without the Audit/onsite verification exercise. However, in order to speed up the pre-qualification process, all suppliers awaiting Audit are henceforth mandatorily required to submit their company documents.

The above is for a Desktop Audit when contacted by Nipex prior to the onsite verification exercise.

NIPEX Registration Renewal Requirements on NIPEX Portal

Again, note that the primary aim of the Nigerian Petroleum Exchange (Nipex) is to provide an electronic contracting platform for NNPC and its operating partners.

And this is in the Joint Venture (JV) and Production Sharing Contract (PSC) arrangement.

Also, it is important to note that these requirements are for those companies that have previously registered with Nipex and are living in NJQS. Those who have got their ID to take part in Nipex contract online bidding system.

They require the under-listed requirements and documents for Nipex Registration Renewal:

1. Applicant is to pay the sum of ₦20,000 to NIPEX Account.

2. Also, you are to submit a PAYMENT RECEIPT.

3. Additionally, you are to complete the NIPEX RENEWAL FORM.

4. Additionally, the applicant is to submit the following documents:

– Certificate of incorporation
– CAC form co2
– CAC form co7
– DPR (current)
– Tax clearance (current)
– VAT certificate
– Industrial training fund (ITF) compliance
– Bank reference letter
– PENCOM

Note, Very Important:

Your status must be live in NJQS for your organisation to be invited to take part in tenders (itt). And this means you must update your details and renew your registration every year.

How to Register with Nipex on Nipex Portal

To register your company with Nipex, below are the steps to follow:

1. Register at NipeX website.

2. Also, make payment of N25,000 via FG Online Remita.

3. Upload your payment receipt online.

4. Additionally, send the form and original copy of the deposit slip/online payment receipt or valid NNPC registration to Nipex.

The address to send these documents is on the registration form. Scanned copies sent to [email protected],[email protected] will be accepted.

5. Also, on receiving these documents and confirming payment of the registration fee, Nipex will send (via the e-mail address provided on the form) login details & guidelines to enable access and completion of the pre-qualification questionnaire.

6. Again, send scanned copies of the following statutory documents, possibly PDF files, to [email protected].

The documents are:

1. Certificate of Incorporation

2. Form CO2 – Allotment of shares

3. Form CO7- List of Directors

4. Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) Certificate (not less than N25,000 and valid)

5. 3 years of current Company Tax Clearance Certificate

6. VAT Certificate

7. PENCOM Certificate (where applicable)

8. Reference letter from your bank

9. Current ITF Registration certificate

Additionally Information about NIPEX Portal

Nipex will verify the questionnaire for accuracy and notify you of any amendment where necessary. Also, where there is no amendment, Nipex will notify you when to have an audit with your firm. The audit is done online.

Also, after the audit, there could be a close-out. If there are no issues to close out, Nipex will write a report and you will be issued a login detail that will allow your firm to take part in all Nipex contracts you are qualified to bid.
