The Science stream can be broadly classified into two groups. They are –

  • Mathematics group (PCM)
  • Biology group (PCB)

There also exists a third group – PCMB!

Most of the mathematics group professional courses have mathematics subject! Many Biology group courses don’t have mathematics subject! I’ve tried to list popular and relevant courses belonging to both of the above-mentioned groups.

  1. BBA

BBA stands for Bachelor of Business Administration. It is a job-oriented management course. Students who have passed the 12th standard (any stream) are eligible to pursue this course.

There are two types of BBA programs available in India – general BBA and specialization programs. General BBA deals with core management subjects. The specialization program covers core management subjects and domain-specific subjects.

It is an undergraduate level Bachelor’s Degree course. The academic program is 3 years long. After completing BBA, one may pursue Master’s Degree Programs such as MBA, MMS, and PG Diploma programs.

  1. BMS

BMS stands for Bachelor of Management Studies. It is a job-oriented management course. Students who have passed the 12th standard (any stream) are eligible to pursue this course.

It is an undergraduate level Bachelor’s Degree course. The academic program is 3 years long. After completing BMS, one may pursue Master’s Degree Programs such as MBA, MMS, and PG Diploma programs.

  1. Diploma In Management

It is a job-oriented Diploma course. Technically, it is a management program. But it is not as detailed or as valued as Bachelor’s Degree programs like BBA and BMS.

Students who have passed 12th standard in any stream are eligible to pursue this course. Since it is a Diploma course, the course content is not as detailed as Degree programs!

  1. BSW

BSW stands for Bachelor of Social Work. It is an undergraduate level Bachelor’s Degree course. This academic program deals with social work.

The academic program is 3 years long. Students who have passed the 12th standard (any stream) are eligible to pursue this course.

  1. PHARM.

B.Pharm. stands for Bachelor of Pharmacy. It is an undergraduate level Bachelor’s Degree course. The academic program is 4 years long.

This course deals with pharmacy subjects. Students who have passed 10+2 Science stream are eligible to pursue this course.

  1. PHARM D

Pharm D stands for Doctor of Pharmacy. It is a Doctoral level program related to pharmacy. The academic program is 6 years long. Students who have passed 12th science stream are eligible to pursue this course.
