Date: Sat, 23 May 2020 – Sun, 24 May 2020

The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared the above date, to mark the Eid-al-Fitri Celebration for 2020.

Making the announcement on behalf of the Federal Government, the Minister of Interior, Lt Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (rtd). enjoined all Muslim faithful and Nigerians to extend the spiritual benefits of Ramadan. These are love, peace and justice to their daily living and contribute to the development of the nation.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Bassey Akpanyung, has urged all Nigerians to use the opportunity of this spiritual rejuvenation.  Likewise, he urged them to reflect on the importance of peaceful co-existence in strengthening the bond for a stronger nation.

Dambazau while wishing Nigerians a peaceful celebration, urged total support for President Muhammadu Buhari’s vowed determination to bequeath to the nation an enduring political legacy.
