(i) Category A–Direct Entry
(a) 10+2 / equivalent based on the merit of physically fit candidates. The student shall submit a demand draft in favor of IGNOU payable at New Delhi along with the duly filled in application form. The Regional Center shall interview on the spot to assess the physical fitness and merit of the student.
(b) University provides reservation of seats as per Government of India rules.
(ii) Category B – Sponsored Admission
The sponsor is allowed to nominate employees, who have passed 10+02/equivalent, from their Retail Organization.
The sponsor will submit a letter on the company’s letterhead issued by the competent authority along with an individual application form of the candidate nominated with the Program fee through a Demand Draft drawn in favor of IGNOU payable at New Delhi.

Question: What is the mode of application for admissions into IGNOU courses 2021?

Answer: The application process for these courses is both offline and online.

Question: When do the admissions start for IGNOU 2021 courses?

Answer: The IGNOU admission for undergraduate/postgraduate/diploma/certificate courses started from November 15, 2020 for January 2021 session.
The admissions for July 2021 cycle will start in the month of May 2021 and will be open till September 2021 for UG, PG, Certificate and Diploma programmes.

Question: Which courses of IGNOU 2021 will need candidates to have cleared an entrance examination?

Answer: The entrance examination will be held for the following IGNOU 2021 courses – B.Ed., M.Ed., MBA, Post B.Sc. Nursing.
