UNCF Coca-Cola First Generation Scholarship: UNCF offers Coca-Cola First Generation Scholarship. UNCF manages various scholarship programs and each program has its own eligibility criteria, open/close dates, and required documentation.

UNCF Coca-Cola First Generation Scholarship

The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation supports more than 1,400 exceptional college students each year, with annual scholarships of $3.55 million awarded through 3 nationally recognized programs.

Scholarship Description:

Students must have a demonstrated unmet, financial need as verified by their college or university (Required for the need-based program). Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Scholarships are a renewal for up to 2-years if a student continues to meet the eligibility criteria.

Continuing students falling below the required minimum GPA of 3.0 are placed on probation for one semester. Students failing to re-establish and meet at least the minimum GPA, are subject to suspension or replacement.

The Coca-Cola Scholars Program Scholarship

The Coca-Cola Scholars Program scholarship is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to graduating high school seniors. Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, as well as their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities.
 
With the 33rd class in 2021, the Foundation has provided over 6,450 Coca-Cola Scholars with more than $75 million in educational support. 150 Coca-Cola Scholars are selected each year to receive this $20,000 scholarship.
 
The 2020-2021 application portal is now closed and applicants were notified of their status via email. See the list of Coca-Cola Scholars here! The application will reopen on August 1, 2021, for students who are high school seniors at that time.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be:

  • Current high school (or home-schooled) student attending a school in the U.S. (or select DoD schools) who will graduate during the 2020-2021 academic school year
  • U.S. Citizens, U.S. Nationals, U.S. Permanent Residents, Refugees, Asylees, Cuban-Haitian Entrants, or Humanitarian Parolees – based on the guidelines utilized by U.S. Department of Education for Federal Financial Aid eligibility
  • Will receive high school diploma during the current academic year
  • Planning to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution

Applicants may not be:

  • Children or grandchildren of current employees, officers, or owners of Coca-Cola bottling companies, The Coca-Cola Company, Company divisions, or subsidiaries.
  • Children or grandchildren of former employees who are currently receiving retirement benefits based on their previous employment with Coca-Cola bottling companies, The Coca-Cola Company, Company divisions, or subsidiaries.
  • International students (with the exception of students at DoD schools)
  • High school graduates
  • Temporary residents
