CEDEJ-IFAO Human & Social Sciences Scholarship

The CEDEJ-IFAO Human & Social Sciences Scholarship is one scholarship that will help you pursue your studies in Egypt, that is if you have plans of studying there. As you read on, we will be providing you with some guidelines that will help you.

CEDEJ-IFAO Human & Social Sciences Scholarship

Two one-year postdoctoral fellowships (September 1, 2024–August 31, 2025) are available from CEDEJ and IFAO to recent Ph.D. graduates studying modern Egypt from a social science or humanities viewpoint.

While the other fellow splits their time between IFAO and CEDEJ, one fellow will be hosted at CEDEJ. The fellows will live in Egypt and take part in the Center’s academic programs. They will have complete access to the library and be given office space.

60,000 EGP is the monthly payment, subject to budgetary approval.

Scholarship Eligibility

1. Applicants must be International students

2. Applicants must hold a Master’s or equivalent

Application Process

1. A cover letter,

2. curriculum vitae, and

3. A research project (no more than 2,000 words) with a methodology note attached.

All applicants are granted equal work chances under CEDEJ, which also forbids discrimination based on national origin, race, religion, age, sex, disability status, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
