PhD Studentship at Department of Materials Science
Applications are invited for Fully-Funded (Home/EU Rate) PhD Studentship (Fixed Term) – Metallic Glasses Based on Precious Metals within the Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy.
The project focuses on the development and characterization of metallic glasses based on precious metals, particularly gold.
Cambridge is one of the best universities in the world, offering undergraduate degree courses in the arts and humanities, social sciences, sciences and engineering.
Applicants whose first language is not English are usually required to provide evidence of proficiency in English at the higher level required by the University.

Applicants should have (or expect to be awarded) an upper second or first-class UK honours degree at the level of MSci, MEng (or overseas equivalents) in a relevant subject (Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry) and should be liable for ‘home rate’ fees to be eligible for a studentship. The studentship is fully funded, covering fees and a tax-free stipend of at least £18500 per annum.
