The Boustany MBA Harvard Scholarship is granted once every two years for a two-year course at Harvard Business School. Also, this scholarship is only applicable for Masters Degree.

2. Horace W. Goldsmith Fellowship

This fellowship was created in 1988 by the Horace W. Goldsmith Foundation and Richard L. Menschel (MBA 1959) to encourage students from the nonprofit sector to pursue an MBA at HBS.

Mr. Menschel, a former director of the Foundation and Limited Partner, Goldman Sachs, was an early supporter of the HBS Social Enterprise Initiative and serves on its Advisory Board. This scholarship is applicable for Masters Degree

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant must have served in full-time leadership roles in the nonprofit or public sector prior to enrolling at HBS and demonstrate a strong commitment to a career in the sector
  • Bachelor: Applicant is required to hold a college or university degree equivalent to a four-year American baccalaureate degree. Equivalent degrees include international three-year bachelor degree programs
  • TOEFL: MBA Admissions Board discourages any candidate with a TOEFL score lower than 109  for applying
  • IELTS: MBA Admissions Board discourages any candidate with an IELTS score lower than 7.5 from applying
  • PTE: MBA Admissions Board discourages any candidate with a PTE score lower than 75 from applying
  • GMAT/ GRE: Scores are required
  • Work Experience: The program is designed for students who have full-time work experience before matriculation
  • Interview: It is part of the admission process. The applicant may be invited to interview after their written application has been submitted and reviewed
  • Interviews may be scheduled on campus, in domestic or international hub cities, or via Skype
  • Interviews are 30 minutes and are conducted by an MBA Admissions Board member who has reviewed the student’s application.

Application Process

  • Two recommendations are required. Recommenders will be asked to fill out personal qualities and skills grid and answer two additional questions
  • The recommendation form includes the following questions, along with other types of questions
  • How do the candidate’s performance, potential, background, or personal qualities compare to those of other well-qualified individuals in similar roles? Please provide specific examples. (300 words)
  • Please describe the most important piece of constructive feedback you have given the applicant. Please detail the circumstances and the applicant’s response. (250 words)
  • Essay: Students need to answer the following question:
  • As we review your application, what more would you like us to know as we consider your candidacy for the Harvard Business School MBA program?
  • There is no word limit for the question. Student must write the answer in clear language
  • CV: A current business resume uploaded through the university’s online application system. This can be a student’s standard business resume or CV. They do not need to have it in any special format
  • Academic Transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate academic institutions attended
  • GMAT/GRE Scores
  • English Language Proficiency scores (TOEFL/IELTS/PTE)
  • Signed Acceptance of HBS Admissions Policies

3. The Robert S. Kaplan (MBA 1983) Life Sciences Fellowship

Harvard University Scholarships for Indian Students

This fellowship was created in 2008 by Robert S. Kaplan, MBA 1983, to encourage students with life sciences backgrounds and career interests to attend HBS.

Robert S. Kaplan currently serves as Professor of Management Practice at Harvard Business School (HBS) and Senior Director of The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. This scholarship is applicable for Masters Degree

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant is expected to show credentials which may include academic achievements, professional accomplishments, and recognition from outside organizations
  • Bachelor: Applicant is required to hold a degree program at an accredited U.S. four-year undergraduate college/university or its equivalent
  • HBS does not have a minimum test score to apply, however, the MBA Admissions Board discourages any candidate with a TOEFL score lower than 109 on the IBT, an IELTS score lower than 7.5, or a PTE score lower than 75 from applying
  • Work Experience: The program is designed for students who have full-time work experience before matriculation
  • Interview: It is part of the admission process. The applicant may be invited to interview after their written application has been submitted and reviewed. Interviews may be scheduled on campus, in domestic or international hub cities, or via Skype.
