Kent State University Global Diversity Scholarship

The Global Scholarship makes a Kent State education “A Whole Lot Closer Than You Think!” for the international student who dreams of studying in the United States.

To draw more exceptional foreign students to its campuses, Kent State launched the Global Scholarship program because it cherishes diversity within its student body.

All new international students who have been admitted to Kent State and are seeking an undergraduate degree are eligible for the Global Scholarship.

Whoever wins this scholarship will receive up to a one-time award ranging from $2,000-$31,856.00.

Scholarship Eligibility

You qualify if you are:

1. A new international undergraduate student joining the Kent campus.

2. Holding an F1 visa.

3. Either a first-year or transfer student.

Note: Students exclusively enrolled in ESL courses and visiting students will receive $4,300 annually if they’re taking at least 12 credit hours.

You do NOT qualify if you are:

1. A graduate student.

2. Currently enrolled.

3. A resident student of the state.

4. Receiving discounted tuition rates through a partnership agreement.

How to Apply

You can apply by filling out the application form and submitting it. You can get the application form either from the official website, or you can get from the school bursary department.

Students will need to submit the scholarship application form that includes an essay to be considered for scholarship.

Application Deadlines

These are the application deadlines for this scholarship:

• July 1st for Fall semester (August) *
• November 1st for Spring semester (January) *
• March 1st for the Summer semester (May)
