Requirements

  • Every prospective candidate for admission into National Diploma programme is expected to obtain at least five (5) credit passes in the senior secondary school examination in subjects relevant to his proposed course of study at not more than two (2) sittings.
  • Such qualification examination shall include General certificate in education (O’Level), senior secondary school certificate and National examination council (NECO), National technical certificate (CNTC) or National business certificate (NBC) examinations or their equivalents. The prospective student is also expected to obtain an acceptable cut-off point by the JOINT ADMISSION MATRICULATION EXAMINATION (JAMB).
  • The Polytechnic will conduct selection interview for prospective students. The selection interview may be oral or written or a combination of both. However, for the first admission exercise, the institution may need to up advertisements in the print and electronic media.
  • The JOINT ADMISSION MATRICULATION BOARD (JAMB) will normally issue letters to successful candidates.
  • In some cases, candidates with two “A” level passes or equivalent plus four (4) credit passes in the senior secondary school certificate examination or its equivalent may be admitted into the 200 level (NDII) of a programme.
