CLAT Exam Pattern 2021 has been revised. It comprised of types of questions, number of questions, marking scheme, etc. In this article, we are providing detailed information about CLAT 2021 Exam Pattern.

CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) is an all-India-level entrance test regulated by the Consortium of National Law Universities. This exam will be held for admissions into various UG courses in law and after graduation in law for the Masters of Law program.

Their Score Card will be accepted by various private law colleges and governments undertaking colleges across the country.

CLAT Exam Pattern 2021

CLAT Exam will be held through offline mode on 10th May 2021. The CLAT exam pattern for UG & PG programs are given below;

CLAT Under Graduate (UG) Exam Pattern:

  • Duration: The duration of the examination will be two hours.
  • Number of Questions: 150 questions will be asked in the examination.
  • Type of Questions: The questions will be of objective type (multiple choice questions).
  • Language: The question paper will be asked in English language only.
  • Marking Scheme: Each question will carry one mark.
  • Negative Marking: There will be a negative marking process. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

The questions will come from the following sections and the number of marks for each section is given below:

Subjects Number of Questions

Current affairs including general knowledge  35-39
Quantitative Techniques 13-17
Legal Reasoning  35-39
Logical Reasoning  28-32
Total  150 questions

CLAT Post Graduate( PG) Exam Pattern:

  • Duration: The exam duration will be two hours.
  • Type of Questions: The questions will be of objective and descriptive type.
  • Medium of Exam: The question paper will be asked in the English language only.
  • Marking Scheme: For the correct answers, one mark will be given to the candidates.
  • Negative Marking: There will be a negative marking process. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

The questions will be asked in the question paper of the given sections:

CLAT Syllabus 2021

There will be no prescribed CLAT 2021 syllabus. For UG courses, the questions will be asked from English including Comprehension, General Knowledge, Mathematics (taught up to 10th class), Legal Aptitude, and Legal Reasoning sections. For PG courses, the questions will be asked from  Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, and other law subjects such as Contract, Torts, Criminal Law, International Law, Environment Law, and Human Rights topics. Candidates can prepare model papers & last year’s question papers.

It can help you to check the difficulty level of question paper & will aware about the type of questions. Candidates are advised not to get panic & also allow sufficient time for sleep. Take a healthy diet, and keep the last few days only for revision.
