Cochin University of Science & Technology, Kerala organizes a university level examination known as CUSAT CAT (Common Admission Test). It is conducted for providing admission into professional and non-professional courses in its university & campuses.
CUSAT 2021 Exam Pattern
The examination will be organized through online mode (computer-based). To prepare for any examination, candidates must know complete details about the exam pattern. Candidates can check here structure & exam pattern for CUSAT CAT 2021 Exam. The exam pattern is different for all the courses.
For B.Tech & M.Sc in Photonics Courses:
- Number of Questions: In the examination, 250 objective type multiple choice questions will be asked.
- Papers: The question paper will come in two parts, i.e. Paper 1 & Paper 2.
- Duration: The exam duration for both papers will be for three hours.
- Total Marks: The question paper will be 750 marks.
- Marking Scheme: For the correct answer, 3 marks will be allotted to the candidates.
- Negative Marking: For the wrong answer, one mark will be deducted.
- Syllabus: The syllabus will be based on +2 subjects.

- Negative Marking: One mark will be deducted for the wrong response.

- Entrance Exam: The admission will be based on the score secured in KMAT of Kerala or CMAT or CAT & performance in Group Discussion and Interview conducted by the University.
For MCA Course:
- Number of Questions: The question paper will be comprised of a total of 150 objective-type questions.
- Duration: The exam duration will be for two hours.
- Marking Scheme: For each right answer, 3 marks will be awarded to the candidates.
- Negative Marking: For each wrong answer, one mark will be deducted.
