GATE Counselling Schedules and Procedure

GATE 2021 Counselling will be released in the first week of April 2021. Its procedure will be managed by the CCMT (Centralized Counselling for M.Tech. /M.Arch/M.Plan. admissions).

Here in this article, we are providing details regarding GATE CCMT Counselling 2021 including; registration, participating institutions and admission procedure.

GATE 2021 CCMT Counselling

CCMT will be an online admission procedure for all NITs (National Institutes of Technologies) & and several other centrally funded institutions.

The counseling registration will be started during the first week of April 2021. It will be organized based on the GATE score. Candidates must have a valid GATE 2018/2019/2021 scorecard. GATE 2021 Counselling will be held in three rounds through online mode.

For seat allotment, candidates will first have to register for the GATE CCMT counseling 2021. During counseling registration, candidates will have to fill in choices of courses/colleges according to their preferences.

Based on the rank, filled choices & availability of seats, the seat will be allotted to the candidates.

GATE 2021 CCMT Counselling Process

The GATE Counselling 2021 procedure will be comprised of three rounds that will be as mentioned below:

Step-1: Online Registration, Choice Filling, and Locking of Choices:

In this step, candidates will have to register themselves on the CCMT website and pay the registration fees.

The fee will be paid online mode by using SBI MOPS (i.e. Net Banking/ Credit Card/Debit Card or through e-Challan).

The registration fee will be Rs. 2200 (Rs. 1700 for SC/ST/PwD). After fee payment, candidates will have to fill their choices of programs. Candidates are suggested to lock their filled choices during the counseling process.

Candidates must also take the assistance of the Help Centers for registration and choice filling.

Step-2: Online Seat Allotment, Seat Acceptance fee deposit, and Personal Reporting:

Seats will be allotted seats based on choices filled and merit. After seat allotment, candidates will be required to deposit the seat acceptance fees (Rs. 20000). Using SBI MOPS (Net banking/credit card/ debit card or through e-Challan).

After that, candidates will have to report personally to the reporting center as per the given schedule. Candidates will have to produce their original documents for verification at the reporting center.

They will have to submit a self-attested photocopy of documents & Seat Acceptance Fee payment proof. After document verification & seat acceptance fee, candidates will be issued a Document Verification Certificate (DVC).

Step-3: Getting Admitted to Allotted Institute:

Students who will be seat allotted will be required to complete the provisional seat confirmation process by paying the seat confirmation fee (Rs. 10000).

Any other balance fee will be paid to the respective allotted college at the time of admission. After the payment of a seat confirmation fee, candidates will be able to download the provisional seat confirmation letter from the website.

After that, students must report to the allotted college with the required documents for taking the final admission.

Documents Required for Counselling:

Students will be required to bring the following documents for the document verification process during reporting at RC:

  • Provisional seat allotment letter.
  • Self-Attested Copy of GATE Score Card (2018 or 2019 or 2021)
  • Photo ID proof.
  • Original Birth certificate issued by competent authority/Class X (High School) Board Certificate as proof of date of birth.
  • 12th class mark sheet.
  • Mark sheet of qualifying examination (all semester).
  • Degree/Provisional Certificate
  • Category certificate (if applicable).
  • Three Passport size colored photographs.
  • Seat acceptance fee proof.
  • Printout of the Registration form & locked choices.
  • Migration Certificate
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Original Conduct Certificate from the Head of the institution last attended.
  • An original Course completion certificate from the Head of the University/Institute in case the result is awaited.
  • One set of self-attested photocopy of all the original documents
