It was learnt that the aggrieved candidates hurled stones and shattered some of the windows of the building that serves as JAMB zonal office in the state.

Not done, they proceeded to block the road with bonfires which disrupted the free flow of vehicular traffic.

It took the intervention of policemen deployed in the area to calm the situation.

Reacting to this, the zonal coordinator, Mr Samuel Umoru, said that the applicants were not patient enough, and adding that those who were patient had been registering.

  1. OKEREKE CASMIR says:

Much as I would not subscribe to Nigerian youths taking laws into their own hands, I would like to register my displeasure with the manner in which the JAMB policy on enrollment. It is very wrong and inhuman in in the following ways:
1.This government has promised to create jobs but has succeeded in deepening unemployment by robbing the small business centre owners of opportunity to make fortune from jamb registration. ‘Hum’ hypocrisy.
2.The process is too tedious. My question is, why is it that a process that takes nothing in other countries takes lives in Nigeria? Must people suffer in everything. Cant the government and its officials simplify processes for people? There is God oooooo.
