JAMB cut off mark 2023 is out! The management of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has released the cut-off marks for the 2022/2023 academic session admission exercise in all Federal, State, and Private Universities, etc.

JAMB Cut Off Mark 2023 for Federal UNIs, Polys, and State Schools

A Cut off-mark is a score set by a particular institution as the basis for admitting students into various departments to study.

However, this score is usually accredited to candidates on the basis of their performance in a particular examination.

JAMB Latest Update on Cut Off Marks

Further, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has released cut-off points for this year’s admission into universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and mono-technics.

Meanwhile, the minimum cut-off marks approved for admissions by JAMB into universities (private and public), polytechnics, and colleges of education are:

  • Public Universities – 140
  • Private Universities – 140

  • Polytechnics — 100

  • Colleges of Education — 100

  • Innovation Enterprise — 100

However, many institutions are at liberty to raise their cut-off marks for admission above the minimum set by JAMB.

Moreover, these decisions were taken at the last Policy Meeting on Admissions into Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria.

Furthermore, the JAMB Registrar, says that institutions have the authority to decide their cut-off marks, and are not to go below the minimum cut-off points adopted.

READ ALSO:

According to him, by doing this, JAMB has recommended; and then will determine the minimum, and whatever the outcome, as the admission cut-off mark, is the final decision.

Conclusively, for the JAMB cut-off mark 2023, if you do not make the above-stated cut-off mark for your institution of choice

It is advisable to change your preferred institution to another one that you are qualified for.

i want to thank you for taking time to gather the information about jamb cut off mark for 2017/2018 and i believe having gathered the information you can at least clear some doubt, i want to ask why is jamb cut off mark for UNN 180 instead of normal 200 this year?

    • abubakar khalid atiku says:

oga dont you know that many candidates did not get the expected points? If i am to advice, i will prefer jamb reduce the cut of mark for uni. from 180 to 170 or give additional 20marks 4 candidates.
