NECO Agricultural Science Questions

The National Examinations Council (also known as NECO) is an examination body in Nigeria

They conduct the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination and the General Certificate in Education in June/July and December/January, respectively.

We have compiled a list of past questions and answers to help you in your preparations.

NECO Agricultural Science Questions (Objectives)

The National Examinations Council (NECO) was created in April 1999 by the Nigerian government in response to the growing demand for a national examination body.

And also manage the increasing number of secondary school candidates taking the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) annually across the country.

It helps prevent waterlogging and ensures a well-aerated soil environment.

(ii) Enumerate two types of drainage.

Answer: They are

1. Surface Drainage

This involves the removal of excess water from the soil surface through channels, ditches, or slopes, preventing water accumulation and surface runoff.

2. Subsurface Drainage

Subsurface drainage focuses on removing excess water from below the soil surface, typically using pipes or tiles buried at various depths.

This helps lower the water table and prevents waterlogging.
