NTA will conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET 2021). It is a national-level entrance test organized for admission into MBBS and BDS courses. These courses are offered by various government and private colleges in India.
NEET 2021 Result
Candidates will be able to check their NEET 2021 result & rank letter through the online process only. No scorecard will be sent to the candidates via offline mode. For SC/ST candidates, no separate result will be declared. The merit list will be prepared for eligible candidates on the basis of the NEET result. Candidates will be called for the NEET 2021 counseling process on the basis of the merit list.
The minimum NEET cut-off marks to qualify for the NEET exam will be 50% (For General category) & 40% (For reserved Category). Candidates are able to check the NEET answer key before the result declaration. The answer key helps the candidates to estimate the minimum score secured in the entrance exam.
NEET 2021 Result Date
The NEET entrance exam will be organized through pen and paper-based mode. It will be conducted on 1st August 2021. After one month of the entrance test, the authority will publish the result for every participant candidate. Candidates will be able to check their results from September 2021. The counseling procedure will be started after the result declaration.
How to Check the Result
Candidates have to follow the given steps to get the result:
- Open the official portal.
- Click on the link “Click here”.
- The result page will be opened on the computer screen.
- Enter your roll number & date of birth.
- Click on the “Submit” button.
- The result has been displayed on the screen.
- Take the print copy of the result for further reference.

The scorecard of the NEET 2021 exam will be valid only for one year (for the session 2021-22). The scorecard will be available via online mode. Details mentioned in the scorecard are given below:

NEET 2021 Answer Key
The answer key will be released through online mode. Candidates will be able to check the answer key via online mode. With the help of the answer key, students can calculate their rough marks they are going to score in the examination. The NEET answer key 2021 bears the correct answers to all the questions asked in the examination.
The authority shall also provide the facility to challenge against the answer key. Students may challenge the answer key within the prescribed dates. Candidates can challenge the answer key via online mode with the payment of Rs. 1000/- per answer. If the challenge is accepted by the authority, the payment can be refunded to candidates.
NEET 2021 Merit List
The merit list will be prepared in percentile determined on the basis of the highest marks secured by the candidates in the NEET exam. The merit list for 15% All India Quota will be prepared by NTA. Candidates will get admission to colleges or universities as per their position on the merit list. The rank list will be published through online mode.
NEET 2021 Merit List Tie-Breaking Criteria
In order to prepare the merit list, the authority shall use the tie-breaking method. In case candidates score equal marks in the NEET examination, a tie-breaking method will be considered. The tie-breaking mention of the NEET 2021 exam is mentioned below:
- Students obtaining higher marks in Biology subject in NEET 2021 exam.
- Students securing higher marks in Chemistry subject in NEET 2021 exam.
- Candidates with fewer wrong question attempts in all subjects of the NEET exam.
- After applying all the above methods of tie-breaking the tie remain, students older in age will be considered.

NEET Counselling 2021
After the declaration of the NEET Result, candidates will be able to participate in the counseling process followed by admission to the respective allotted colleges.
Counseling for 15% All India Quota Seats (MBBS/BDS) will be regulated by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
NEET 2021 Counselling registration (All India Quota) will be started from the month of September 2021. Candidates will be able to participate in the counseling process conducted by their state medical admission authorities.
