UGC NET 2021 Cut Off will be released after the declaration of the result. Though the cut-off for this year’s exam hasn’t been released yet.

UGC NET 2021 Cut off

UGC NET 2021 Cut Off marks will be released after the declaration of results. Candidates have to obtain the minimum cut-off marks to get selected on the merit list.

The merit list will be prepared category-wise and subject-wise for each subject. Only 6% of qualified candidates will be considered for the Junior Research Fellowship program.

Candidates can check the cut-off marks after their declaration by the officials. It will be made available only through online mode.

Factors Determining Cut off

The cut-off marks are different for various papers. Various factors are taken into consideration for determining the cut-off marks. These factors are as follows:

  • The difficulty level of the paper
  • Reservation policies
  • The number of candidates who appeared for the exam
  • Number of Candidates who passed the exam
  • Availability of seats
  • Marking scheme

UGC NET 2021 Result

UGC NET 2021 Result will be declared by the prescribed authority on 5th July 2021. Candidates can check their results by entering the application number, date of birth, and roll number.

For candidates who are selected in the written test, their roll number will be mentioned by displayed NTA on their website. One week after the declaration of UGC results, the marks of the candidates will also be uploaded.

UGC NET 2021 Merit list

After the release of cut-off marks by the prescribed authority, the merit list will be prepared. The merit list will be prepared separately for JRF and the assistant professor.

The merit list will contain all the shortlisted candidates who have cleared the minimum cut-off marks.

The top 15% of candidates from the merit list will be selected for the Assistant Professor only from each category and subject.

UGC NET 2021 Counselling

After successfully qualifying for the UGC NET 2021 entrance exam and cut off, the counseling process will be organized.

Candidates will be required to submit the counseling application with certain documents. Also, the processing fee will be submitted by the candidates.

Candidates must carry the original and photocopy of the documents mentioned below:

  • Class X and XII mark sheet and pass certificates
  • Degree and provisional certificate
  • UGC NET Admit card
  • Scorecard/Rank card
  • Counseling letter
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Passport size photographs
  • Medical documents
