National Eligibility Test (NET) under the University Grants Commission (UGC) is conducted by the NTA (National Testing Agency). UGC NET conducts the Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor Programme for Indian students.
Junior Research Fellowship honorees are eligible to pursue research in their PG subject from IITs or other national institutions. Those students can also apply for the post of Assistant professor in colleges & universities.

UGC NET 2021 Exam Schedule
The application forms can be filled out online mode on the website. Candidates will be allowed to fill the UGC NET 2021 application form from 16th March 2021. The last date to fill the application form will be till 16th April 2021. Candidates will be provided the facility of correction if any in the application form from the last week of April 2021.
UGC NET Admit Card will be released on 15th May 2021 via online mode. The UGC NET 2021 examination will be conducted from 15th to 20th June 2021. The UGC NET answer key will be released in June 2021. Candidates will be able to submit the objection regarding the answer key till the last week of June 2021.
Candidates will access the UGC NET result before one week of the commencement of the written exam. UGC NET 2021 Result will be announced On 5th July 2021.
UGC NET 2021 Application Form
Candidates can check details about UGC NET 2021 application form from the given section:
- The application form will be released online mode on the website.
- Candidates will be able to fill their application form from 16th March 2021 for the June session.
- Candidates must fill details carefully in the application form including education, personal and communication, etc.
- Upload the required documents in the prescribed format.
- Correction facilities will also be provided by the authorities after the submission of the application form.
- The application form will be filled until the 16th of April 2021.
- Take a printout of the filled application form and keep it safe for other procedures.
Application Fee will be paid through debit card/ credit card/ net banking or e-Challan. The fee will be Rs. 1000 (Rs. 500 for OBC – NCL and Rs. 250 for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates)
