Türkiye Burslari Scholarship Programme, which is fully funded and sponsored by the Turkish Government, is presently accepting applications from eligible students.

The Türkiye Burslari Scholarship Programme

The Türkiye Scholarships provide a combination of scholarship and university placement to eligible candidates who indicate their preferences in the online application form.

While most programs in Turkish universities are taught in Turkish, some universities and departments offer courses in English, French or Arabic.

To study in these languages, candidates must provide an internationally recognized language proficiency certificate, and may also be required to take international admission tests such as GRE, GMAT or SAT.

Candidates should check the language of instruction when selecting programs.

Recipients of the Türkiye Scholarships who do not hold a C1 Level Certificate for Turkish Proficiency, even those admitted to English, French, or Arabic-taught programs, are required to finish a one-year Turkish Preparatory Course.

The aim of the Art and Sport Scholarship Programs is to motivate skilled international students in the fields of art and sport to pursue their undergraduate, master’s, or PhD degrees at prestigious Turkish universities with the assistance of Türkiye Scholarships.

Successful applicants will receive funding for a one-year Turkish language course, which is covered by the scholarship.

After completing the course, they must obtain acceptance from the relevant faculties of Turkish universities.

Benefits of the Turkey Burslari Scholarships 2023

1. Applicants who are selected will be granted a complete exemption from paying tuition fees.

2. Accommodation will be provided.

3. A monthly stipend will be given, with amounts varying depending on the level of study: 1000 TL for undergraduate, 1400 TL for Master’s, and 1800 TL for PhD level students.

4. Departmental and university placements will be facilitated.

5. Scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to learn the Turkish language for one year.

6. A one-way return ticket will be provided.

7. Health insurance will be included.

8. Scholarship recipients will have access to social and cultural activities.

9. The Turkey Alumni Network will be available to scholarship recipients.

Eligibility Criteria of the Turkey Scholarships

1. Applications are open to individuals of all nationalities, except for Turkish citizens and those who have renounced their Turkish citizenship.

2. Applicants should not currently be enrolled in a Turkish university.

3. Applicants who have completed their undergraduate studies or will complete them by August 2022 are eligible to apply.

4. Both researchers and academic groups may apply.

5. Applicants who have achieved a minimum of 70% in their previous academic education are eligible to apply for graduate programs.

6. For Master’s and Doctoral programs, a minimum of 75% is required.

7. Applicants interested in health sciences, including medicine, dentistry, and pharmacy, must have a minimum of 90% in their previous academic record.

8. Applicants for bachelor’s programs should be under 21 years of age.

9. Applicants for Master’s programs should be under 30 years of age.

10. Applicants for Doctoral programs should be under 35 years of age.

11. Applicants for the research scholarship program should be under 45 years of age.

Documents Required for the Türkiye Scholarships Application

1. Official academic transcripts.

2. Diploma or graduation certificate (if applicable).

3. National exam results (if required) in the form of a card.

4. Proof of international exam results, such as GRE, GMAT, SAT, etc. (if requested).

5. Valid passport or ID card.

6. Current photograph (taken within the last year).
