AAN is inviting applications from qualified candidates to fill the position of a Terms of Reference for Training of Trainers – First Cohort of Practitioner and Community Trainers on HDP Nexus

The New Ways of Working, or the Humanitarian-Peace-Development (HDP) Nexus was first implemented following the World Humanitarian Summit in 2016.

This was because of a lack of awareness about its advantages and applications, it is always changing.

Required Competence/Qualification for Training

Training of Community Stakeholders:

1. Trainers must be inhabitants of the training areas (Borno, Adamawa, Yobe, and Nasarawa States) with a solid grasp of the local contexts, and they must have three to five years of expertise in training facilitation.

2. Trainers should come from a variety of fields, including development, peace, and humanitarianism, and they should be fluent in the native tongue of the area they are working in.

3. Essential criteria include gender sensitivity, adaptability, and availability for training.

Training of Practitioners:

1. Trainers need to have three to five years of expertise in training facilitation and at least a bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent. They must be locals who know the surroundings, having lived in the training areas.

2. Candidates from a variety of fields, including development, peace, and humanitarian aid, should apply; proficiency in the native language of their setting will be a bonus.

3. Essential criteria include gender sensitivity, adaptability, and availability for training.

Please take note that, if you are currently employed, a letter from your employer will be required.

This letter is to confirm the organization’s willingness to permit you to lead training in the appropriate states.

As needed after the successful completion of the training program and to request management approval for your availability to participate in the Train the Trainer (TOT) program.

How to Apply

After the training, ActionAid will apply a strict selection criterion to identify master trainers who have been selected for the Train the Trainer program.

For their roles in conducting training in their different locations, these certified master trainers will receive fair compensation.
