African Human Development Centre

African Human Development Centre is a non-governmental or non-profit research and development organization founded in 2004 as Global Wealth.

The foundation has been actively involved in community development by harnessing people’s power against poverty.

AHDC strives to create realistic and inventive ways for people to escape poverty while also involving communities in all of its activities.

Its presence has been registered in twenty communities in Nigeria.

They are also in collaboration with organizations like Women and Orphans Empowerment organizations (WEWE), ActionAID, MHS, and others.

Objectives of AHDC

1. Carry out activities and programs that will promote human development,

2. They carry out activities to promote good governance and rural community development,

3. Promote attainment of the rights of women, children, people living with disability, and other vulnerable groups,

4. Promote sustainable development in communities through modeling service delivery and

5. Create awareness and assist people on health (including HIV/AIDS) and environmental problems that may impede human development.

AHDC Recruitment

To improve its service delivery on the project, AHDC requires the assistance of skilled specialists.

As a result, qualified candidates are asked to apply for the following position:

1. Documentation Officer

Location

Etinan LGA, Akwa Ibom State

Duration

One year with the possibility of extension

Duties

Assist the M&E officer in making sure that only correct and reliable data are entered into the registers

Requirements

1. A minimum University degree or HND in Statistics, Mathematics, Social Science, or Pure Sciences

2. Two to three years of experience in a similar or related position will be an added advantage

3. Strong computer skills (should know how to use MS Excel for data analysis, MS Word, and Powerpoint)

4. Very strong report writing skills

5. Analytical skills

6. Fluency in both written and oral English

2. Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Location

Etinan, Akwa Ibom

Duration

One year with the possibility of extension

Duties

1. Improve the quality of data generated from project implementing communities

2. Enhance systematic data flow in all source documents

3. Develop and build a strong participatory monitoring and evaluation system across project implementing sites.

Requirements

1. A minimum University degree or HND in statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Social Science, or Pure Sciences

2. Minimum of two to three years  of experience in Monitoring and Evaluation

3. Research and Evaluation skills such as data analysis

4. Must be willing to work in rural areas

5. Strong computer skills (should know how to use MS Excel to make graphs, MS Word, and Powerpoint)

6. Very Strong report writing skills

7. Fluency in both written and oral English

8. Ability to Speak Akwa Ibom Language

3. Finance Officer

Location

Etinan, Akwa Ibom

Duration

One year with the possibility of extension

Duties

1. Provide effective financial support to the project.

2. Assist in administrative operations of the operational based office in Etinan LGA

Requirements

1. A minimum University degree or HND in Accounting with at least Second class Upper Division or Upper Credit respectively

2. Two to three years of experience in a similar or related position will be an added advantage

3. Strong computer skills (should know how to use MS Excel for data analysis, MS Word, and Powerpoint)

4. Very Strong report writing skills

5. Must be willing to work in rural areas

6. Analytical skills

7. Fluency in both written and oral English

4. Data Entry Officer

Location

Etinan LGA, Akwa Ibom State

Duration

One year with the possibility of extension

Duties

1. Prepare, compile and sort documents for data entry

2. Manage NOMIS database and other databases of the team, maintain the backup of NOMIS

3. Assist the M&E officer in the compilation of Monthly and Quarterly M&E reports

Requirements

1. A minimum University degree or HND in statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or Pure Sciences

2. Two to three years of experience in a similar or related position will be an added advantage

3. Strong computer skills (should know how to use MS Excel for data analysis, MS Word, and Powerpoint)

4. Very Strong report writing skills

5. Analytical skills

6. Fluency in both written and oral English

5. Improvement Manager

Location

Etinan, Akwa Ibom

Duration

One year with the possibility of extension

Duties

1. Provide Oversight on overall program implementation and coordination.

2. Support the implementation of technical activities to improve the well-being

3. Must take of the vulnerable children, and their households in Etinan using the National Service standard and improvement science

4. Participate in conducting regular site monitoring visits

5. Supervise Monthly reporting from the M&E unit.

6. Ensure allowable and reasonable petty cash advance requests by staff and ensure strict financial compliance in program activities and procurement within the LGA

7. Perform any other task as needed.

Requirements

1. A minimum University degree or HND in Public health, Social Science, Biological science, or Pure Sciences

2. Minimum of two to three years of experience in Community Development

3. Research and Evaluation skills such as data analysis

4. Strong computer skills (should know how to use MS Excel to make graphs, MS Word, and Powerpoint

5. Must be willing to work in rural areas

6. Very Strong report writing skills

7. Fluency in both written and oral English

8. Ability to Speak Akwa Ibom Language (Ibibio Precisely)
