1. Job Title: Terminal Manager

Location: Lagos
Job Summary

• We are looking to employ an experienced Terminal Manager. A terminal manager who is looking for an opportunity for growth within a forward-thinking organization.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and oversee the work of staff members to ensure efficiency and compliance with organizational requirements and company procedures.
• Monitor and direct all dispatching activities, including tracking, routing and dispatching transportation vehicles.
• Ensure all work is performed according to Forward Air approved procedures, standards, and specifications for dock operations
• Ensure staff members fully and consistently comply with safety rules, administrative procedures and policies, environmental policies, union contracts and government regulations.
• Initiate and direct investigations to resolve shipper or customer complaints and verify their authenticity and accuracy.
• Collaborate with staff members and fellow managers to create, modify and implement goals, procedures, policies and objectives when the opportunity presents itself.

Job Skills & Qualifications

• 4 to 7 years’ experience in Terminal Operations
• Strong leadership and team-building skills

Salary
N150,000 – N250,000/month.

3. Job Title: Management Accountant

Location: Lagos
Job Summary

• As a key member of the Management team, the Head Accountant will report to the board of directors and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company
• The Head Accountant will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company
• This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, legal, property management, deal analysis and negotiations, investor relationships and partnership compliance and private and institutional financing.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
• Ensure credibility of the Finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.
• Take hands-on lead position of developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive job cost system.
• Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization.
• Evaluates and advises on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory action.

• Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
• Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation and reporting to the Company

Qualifications and Requirements

• B.Sc Degree with a minimum of 2.2.
• Must be a Chartered Accountant (ICAN Certified).
• Knowledge of IFRS
• MBA is highly desirable.
• 5+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in a structured company.

Personal Attributes:

• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations essential.
• Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

6. Job Title: Fleet and Equipment Maintenance Officer

Location: Lagos
Summary

• The Fleet and equipment Maintenance Officer’s responsibilities include supervising a technician (mechanic) team responsible for preventive maintenance/repair of a fleet, repair/maintenance and providing direction to technicians to ensure that all repairs/maintenance to equipment (trucks – diesel and alternate fuel, containers and other heavy duty equipment) are performed in compliance with Company safety and compliance standards, and with all federal and state regulations.
• The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for planning and scheduling repair work for the work group to ensure that all work is done in a safe and timely manner, reducing lost productivity.

Job Description

• Ensures safe and reliable vehicles are available to meet operational requirements.
• Conducts fleet evaluations to ensure maintenance standards are met
• Updates and submits required reports in a timely manner.
• Lead and provide technicians assigned to work group to ensure that all repair and maintenance work is performed in a safe, efficient and timely manner.
• Monitor operational performance and efficiency and take action to redirect activities appropriately.
• Maintain equipment records in accordance with federal, state and local laws, policy or regulation.
• Review/process purchase requisitions for parts and supplies; review vendor bid responses for tools, equipment, parts and services; monitor expenditures.
• Report to management on performance; make recommendations for process/programmatic changes for improvement or efficiencies.
• Supervise technicians in maintenance and all technician levels on performance/corrective action.
• Perform inspections of outside repairs to ensure all work was properly completed in accordance with Company’s safety and compliance procedures.
• Conduct Quality Control Inspections, track issues and resolution to ensure all work is properly completed in accordance with Company’s safety and compliance procedures
• Oversee maintenance shop inventory control system to ensure necessary equipment and parts levels are maintained and purchases are within budget. Review and approve expenses that are within scope of approval level; refer larger expenses or major repairs to manager as appropriate
• Maintain advanced knowledge of engine, emission systems, transmission, brake, hydraulic and electrical systems to perform advanced preventive and repair maintenance functions on heavy equipment and vehicles used by Company, on site and on the road, including: engine chassis repair and maintenance; knowledge of vehicle body control systems, including hydraulics and electrical systems to maintain and repair vehicles in a timely and safe manner; knowledge of heating and knowledge of welding tools to fix heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner to ensure equipment is back in good condition

Requirements

• OND, HND BSc or any relevant qualification
• Process oriented
• Ability to work as a team
• Good knowledge of truck, cars equipment
