One of Nigeria’s paramilitary organizations, NSCDC is also referred to as Civil Defence Recruitment. It was initially established as the Lagos Civil Defense in May 2003.

To increase their eligibility or chances of being chosen, applicants must meet some requirements during the recruitment process.

Requirements for Civil Defence Recruitment

To be one of the chosen applicants, you have to fulfill the requirements listed below.

1. Candidates must be citizens of Nigeria by birth.

2. Needs to be in good physical and mental health

3. Being computer literate will be beneficial.

4. Show a legitimate birth certificate or proof of age.

5. The age range for applicants is 18 to 30 years old, and they must have the necessary credentials.

6. Candidates cannot have a history of financial embarrassment.

7. Have completed no more than two sittings of WASSCE, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB with a minimum of 4 credits.

8. For men, the applicant’s chest measurement cannot be less than 0.87.

9. Applicants cannot have any mental health issues, sight issues, hearing issues, communicable diseases, stammering, physical disabilities of any kind, or any combination of these. Both mental and physical health must be intact. Nobody has inscriptions or tattoos.

10. Applicants cannot be members of any fraternity, cult, or covert organization.

11. Must not have previously engaged in any illegal activity

12. Candidates need to be open to working in a different setting.

13. Candidates should not be shorter than 1.60 meters for female candidates and 1.65 meters for male candidates.

14. Candidates must be in good health and provide a medical fitness certificate from an accredited government hospital.
