Job Description

  • We are urgently seeking for immediate employment a General Manager (An Indian or Lebanese person preferably). This person is responsible for all aspects of operations at the hotel, to day-to-day staff management and guests.

Position Summary

  • The General Manager is responsible for all aspects of operations at the hotel, lounges, to day-to-day staff management and guests. He will be an ambassador for the brand and the hotel.
  • Provide leadership and strategic planning to all departments in support of our service culture, maximized operations and guest satisfaction. Work Very closely with the hotel owners and other stakeholders.
  • Responsible for managing the Hotels management team (HOD’s) and overall hotel targets to deliver an excellent Guest experience. The General Manager will also be required to manage profitability and guest satisfaction measures.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operations functions of the hotel, as per the Organizational chart.
  • Hold regular briefings and meetings with all head of departments.
  • Ensure full compliance to Hotel operating controls, SOP’s, policies, procedures and service standards.
  • Lead all key property issues including capital projects, customer service and refurbishment.
  • Handling complaints, and oversee the service recovery procedures.
  • Responsible for the preparation, presentation and subsequent achievement of the hotel’s annual Operating Budget, Marketing & Sales Plan and Capital Budget.
  • Manage on-going profitability of the hotel, ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded.
  • Ensure all decisions are made in the best interest of the hotels and management.
  • Deliver hotel budget goals and set other short and long term strategic goals for the property.
  • Developing improvement actions carry out costs savings.
  • A strong understanding of P&L statements and the ability to react with impactful strategies
  • Closely monitor the hotels business reports on a daily basis and take decisions accordingly.
  • Ensure that monthly financial outlooks for Rooms, Food & Beverage, Admin & General, on target and accurate.
  • Maximizing room yield and hotel/lounges/ bar revenue through innovative sales practices and yield management programs.
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting for the owners and stakeholders.
  • Draw up plans and budget (revenues, costs, etc.) for the owners.
  • Helping in the procurement of operating supplies and equipment, and contracting with third-party vendors for essential equipment and services.
  • Act as a final decision maker in hiring a key staff.
  • Coordination with HOD for the execution of all activities and functions.
  • Overseeing and managing all departments and working closely with department heads on a daily basis.
  • Manage and develop the Hotel Executive team to ensure career progression and development.
  • Be accountable for the responsibilities of department heads and take ownership of all guest complaints.
  • Provide effective leadership to hotel team members.
  • Lead in all aspects of business planning.
  • Respond to audits to ensure continual improvement is achieved.
  • Corporate client handling and take part in new client acquisition along with the sales team whenever required.
  • Assisting in residential sales as and when required and development with strong sales prospects.
  • Responsible for safeguarding the quality of operations both (internal & external audits).
  • Responsible for legalization, Occupational Health & Safety Act, fire regulations and other legal requirements.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate is a seasoned and highly intelligent hotel professional with outstanding, management skills and extensive hands-on experience. Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
  • An Indian or Lebanese person preferably.
  • Wide range of hospitality business
  • Knowledge of kitchen operations
  • Business development knowledge.

Education:

  • A University degree in Hotel Management or a related field with Experience in opening, managing or re-positioning a hotel/lounge with a clear track record. Excellent computer system skills.
  • MBA will be an advantage.

Experience:

  • At least 10 to 15 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, with significant luxury and international experience.
  • And 5 years experience as a General Manager or Asst. General Manager.

Job Summary

  • We are seeking to recruit a Senior Brand Manager to look after and expand key brands of the product portfolios. The ideal candidate will in addition to brand management, be responsible for new product development (NPDs).
  • To develop, own, design, and assess new and existing company products. Oversee all stages of product development, from initial concept art, to finalization and distribution. Develop strategies to close gaps in the marketplace.
  • Work with market researchers to identify how to reflect a brand’s attributes in a new product, ensuring customer value and satisfaction with that product.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Job holder has the responsibility for ensuring the achievement of the company’s market share, brand equity, gross margin, brand awareness and penetration.
  • The Senior Brands Manager is primarily responsible for the development of brands plan and reviews of Seaman’s schnapps.
  • The incumbent is expected to manage brands annual budgets, close the gaps and look for opportunities in the market place whilst constantly advising the Marketing Manager accordingly; to maintain/attain overall competitive superiority for the brands.
  • The job holder must be well grounded in both the theoretical and practical knowledge of brand management especially in the fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
  • Build and develop a marketing team which is competent, commercially astute, dedicated and efficient
  • Manage nationwide marketing, advertising and promotional staff and all relevant activities
  • Develop new marketing strategies that will improve sales and revenue performance
  • Develop promotional material and distribution
  • Train the marketing team for prospective client meetings, presentations, etc.
  • Manage and develop a team of strong product line managers/merchants/buyers representing multiple categories to meet financial and operational goals
  • Expertly negotiate from a position of strength, using data to drive targets, and think holistically about cost inputs, including product costs, accruals for damage and freight, volume discounts, etc
  • Manage the budget and sales forecast
  • Any other assigned duty.

Required Experience

  • The job holder must be data-driven, comfortable with the Microsoft office suites and be able to develop insights for data
  • He or she must hold a B.Sc or HND in any suitable course; an MBA Marketing will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 10 – 12 years work experience, out of which 4 years must be at Brand Manager’s level
  • The incumbent must be comfortable with travelling to a different part of the country and must be organized to keep track of brand details
  • FMCG experience; Understand market research
  • Strong knowledge of social media and digital marketing
  • Ability to leverage brands through social media, PR
  • Experience working with other markets/ distributors

Required Qualifications:

  • BSC / HND in any Business related field
  • Master’s degree or an additional qualification is an added advantage
