2. Legal Internship Program at World Bank

The World Bank Legal Vice Presidency (“LEGVPU”) offers highly motivated law students an opportunity to be exposed to the mission and work of the World Bank and that of LEGVPU.

6. Principal Investment Officer (PIO) at World Bank

The Principal Investment Officer (PIO) will lead and implement business development for financial institutions in the Anglophone markets of West and Central Africa (WCA).

Also, He / She will be in charge of devising a business development strategy to catalyze investments in the financial sector, including developing solutions to open new markets and build new relationships with strategic, top-tier clients and stakeholders.

Additionally, the PIO will perform the role of IFC Client Service lead, a top-level relationship manager for financial institutions at the CEO, board, and key shareholder level.

Basic Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Finance or similar relevant education; accreditation as a CFA or CPA is considered a plus;
  • Also, 14+ years of relevant experience in the financial sector, including a solid operational understanding of commercial banks and other financial entities in Nigeria and/or West & Central Africa in particular, and the Africa region in general;
  • Additionally, demonstrated a network of top-level contacts in the financial services and investment industries in the sub-region;

7. Agriculture Economist at World Bank

This job is located in Abuja, Nigeria. The applicant is to contribute as a core team member to the preparation and implementation of selected operations, assuring quality in all stages of the project cycle.

Also, you are to serve as the focal point for liaison with key counterparts and other partners for colleagues working with the Nigeria program.

Additionally, you are to identify opportunities for addressing agricultural issues in Nigeria as part of the World Bank’s Country Partnership Framework, country policy dialogue, sector investment operations, budget support operations, and other multi-sectoral projects.

Basic Requirements

  • You are to have Masters, MBA or Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics, Economics, or in a relevant discipline;
  • Also, at least five years of experience on agricultural development issues (three years if Ph.D.);

General Eligibility Criteria for World Bank Jobs 2021

To be eligible for these jobs, the applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Possession of B.Sc, HNDNCE, OND in relation to the applied position from a recognized institution.
  2. Any added certificate either postgraduate or professional certification will be of advantage.
  3. NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate.
  4. Applicants must not be above 35 years old.
  5. West African School Certificate (WAEC) or Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSSC) with Credits in not less than three (3) subjects including English and at least passes in two (2) other subjects; or
  6. Candidates must have National Examination Council (NECO)/General Certificate of Education (GCE) Ordinary Level with passes in four (4) subjects obtained at one sitting or five (5) subjects obtained at two sittings including the English Language.)
  7. National Diploma (ND) obtained from a recognized institution. National Certificate of Education (NCE) from a recognized institution; or General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) in two (2) subjects obtained at one sitting or three (3) subjects obtained at two sittings.
  8. Must be computer literate.
