1. NAF Launches Renewed Offensive Against Armed Bandits In Sokoto

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), through the Air Component of Operation HADARIN DAJI, has destroyed some armed bandits’ camps and neutralized several bandits in a fresh air interdiction operation launched the day before yesterday, in Sokoto State, northwest Nigeria.

The subsidiary Air Interdiction Operation is being conducted as part of efforts to rid the North West of armed bandits, cattle rustlers, kidnappers, and other criminal elements under the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) led Operation ACCORD.

2. NAF Would End War On Boko Haram By End Of This Year

The attention of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has been drawn to publications in some media insinuating that the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, during a recent operational visit to the Headquarters of the Air Task Force (ATF) of Operation LAFIYA DOLE, Maiduguri promised that the NAF would “end the war on Boko Haram by the end of the Year 2021”.

The NAF wishes to state that the above-attributed statement is not a true reflection of what the CAS actually said and therefore constitutes a misrepresentation; hence the need for this clarification.

3. Counter-Insurgency: CAS Commends Air Task Force

The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, has commended the Air Task Force (ATF) of Operation LAFIYA DOLE (OPLD) for the successes recorded in its renewed offensive against Boko Haram Terrorists (BHT)/Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP).

The aircraft was received at the flight line of 307 Executive Airlift Group, Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja by the Chief of Policy and Plans, Air Vice Marshal Oladayo Amao.

6. NAF Strengthens R&D Efforts, Signs New MOUS With Key MDAS

In furtherance of its efforts to advance Research and Development (R&D) for enhanced operational effectiveness, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) signed additional Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with 3 Organizations.

The are Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB), University of Benin (UNIBEN), and Digital Bridge Institute (DBI).

The erstwhile MoUs with the aforementioned organizations, which recently expired, was renewed by the NAF in line with its focus on strategic partnerships with Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) for enhanced R&D.

7. NAF Commissions Newly Constructed Dialysis Centre

In furtherance of its commitment towards the provision of qualitative healthcare services for its personnel and their families, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has commissioned a newly constructed and well-equipped Dialysis Centre at the 063 NAF Hospital, Bill Clinton Drive, Abuja.

The Centre, which has a large Treatment Room with 3 Dialysis Machines and other support equipment as well as a comfortable Reception Area, 2 Consulting Rooms, and a Nursing Station.
