Did you miss your NYSC service? That is you were posted or deployed but you didn’t show up in camp? Then you need to apply for NYSC revalidation or remobilization form.

NYSC Revalidation 2021 and Remobilization Application Form Process

The NYSC bye-law stated that anyone who failed to report to camp after being called for service shall be punished. But out of magnanimity, NYSC decided to give every prospective corps member who failed to report to orientation camp a second chance. This second opportunity is called the ‘NYSC revalidation’.

NYSC Revalidation

NYSC Revalidation option is meant for those who;

  • Refused to go camping after they have been mobilized maybe because of distance or financial reason.
  • Forgot to check their NYSC dashboard for their letter of mobilization. As funny as it sounds, a friend missed camp because he thought the letter would be mailed to him or sent via school, forgetting he will have to print it from his dashboard. The lack of email/SMS notification for the printing of letter didn’t help anyway.
  • Those who forgot vital documents when they went camping hence they weren’t registered.
  • Those who went late to camp and got there after the registration window must have expired, so they weren’t registered.
  • Anyone who had been mobilized and for any reason didn’t show up at camp or wasn’t registered at camp.

Note: If you don’t have a State Code number (Unique NYSC number that identifies your Service State, Year, Batch and personnel number), you fall into this group. A State Code number looks like State/Year & Batch/personnel number, e.g. KW/17B/0001, DT/18C/1786

Difference between NYSC Revalidation and Remobilization

NYSC Re-validation means you were deployed in a previous NYSC batch but did not show up in camp, that is you did not go to camp at all. And Please note that Revalidation doesn’t change one’s state.

NYSC Re-Mobilization means you were mobilized in a previous NYSC batch, you reported to camp but didn’t complete the orientation exercise or you left the state after camp. People that are to do remobilization are those who attended the orientation camp, did all the normal registration on camp, leave camp or not report to their Place of Primary Assignment (PPA).

NYSC Re-Mobilization is for those who dropped out of service for one reason or another. Remobilization is majorly for those that reported to camp but absconded due to reasons best known to them while NYSC Re-validation is for those who didn’t report to camp or weren’t cleared, it’s revalidation.
