Why President Buhari Frowns And Not Smile

I cannot help but amuse myself each time I go through any recent Nigerian News site, blog or newspaper. The recent happenings, issues, groaning and complaints of citizens of this Country is indeed a funny site.

In the midst of all these tears, one would imagine me being one due for a psychiatric hospital but for sure you will agree with me that by virtue of the massive support Nigerians gave the current President Muhammad Buhari during the March 2015 presidential elections. The support for the incumbent President was unprecedented, in that, this same man governed this country from January 1983 to August 1985 and the hardship experienced by citizens was mind bugling.

To think that as our Fathers used to say “Once beaten twice shy”; caution was thrown to wind. Under the Umbrella of the All Progressives Congress or should I say “All Progressive Confidence” as Mr. President will call it. We were promised change, the undergraduates and unemployed graduates were promised N5, 000 for doing nothing.

For the past one year, all this Country has experienced has being nothing but hazardous poverty and the standard of living has made living in Nigeria a daunting task.

Looking back at the last one year and how he has seemingly failed Nigerians, concentrating on fighting corruption and making life a living hell for Nigerians, we are all confused as to the president’s current body language, he seems to be more confused at how fast things are taking a drastic negative turn that He has resorted to thinking this was the military days and he wants to invoke some of his military strategies to tackle some of the inhibitors to his success and putting smiles on Nigerians faces.

But, lo, as we will agree, democracy is a totally different ball game, he has the National Assembly including the Senators and House of Representatives to contend with. Freedom of Information Act makes Online attack on Him by Nigerians the most viable way of expressing their displeasure at his administration and Leadership style.

Imagine you were Mr. President with all these challenges looking at you eye balls to eye balls, yourself imposed enemies taunt you everyday, tell me, sincerely, would you Smile?
