About Petroleum Technology Development Fund PTDF
The Petroleum Technology Development Fund trained Nigerians to become graduates, professionals, technicians, and artisans.
PTDF is training graduates in the fields of engineering, geology, science, and management in the petroleum sector. It was the first major step toward institutionalising the policy of local workforce development in the oil and gas industry.
Prior to its formation, the government passed legislation requiring multinational oil corporations to hire and educate Nigerians.
Moreso, this is in order for Nigerians to take over the industry’s operations, from exploration to marketing, after a set length of time.
Application Brief
This is to inform all candidates that applied for the 2021/2022 PTDF Overseas and Local Scholarship Schemes (MSc) that applicants have been shortlisted for the Aptitude Test regarding the scholarship award.
They advise applicants to visit the application website using their PIN. Successful candidates will log on to the site and print out their notification slip containing information on the time and venue of their tests.
PTDF Shortlisted Candidates Selection Venue
The Electronic Aptitude Test for the selection of candidates for the award of 2021/2022 PTDF Overseas and Local Scholarship (MSc) will hold simultaneously in designated centres across the country:
1. Port-Harcourt South-South
2. Lagos South-West
3. Bauchi North-East
4. Kaduna North-West
5. Abuja North-Central
6. Enugu South-East

Note
1. Only those who met the requirements as advertised are shortlisted and invited for the Electronic Aptitude Test for Master’s Degree candidates. They will base strictly the selection for the award on performance in the Aptitude Test.
2. The Panel will conduct oral interviews for PhD (full time) candidates on dates to be announced later.
3. They will also send invitations via email/SMS.
