➢ Eligibility requirements include being a Nigerian graduate with a First Class or Second Class Upper Division degree in Geosciences or Engineering from a Nigerian university.

2. Jim Ovia Foundation Leaders Scholarship

This scholarship is one of the available financial aid programs in Nigeria, and it is made possible by the generous philanthropic efforts of the Jim Ovia Foundation.

Currently, it is offered through Ashesi University in Ghana and Covenant University in Nigeria.

Additionally, through partnerships with the Jim Ovia Foundation Leaders Scholarship, high achieving students from underprivileged backgrounds are selected for full education coverage.

3. Niger Delta Postgraduate Scholarship

This is one of the scholarships that is available in Nigeria, and it is provided by the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC).

The 10th annual NNPC/SPDC_JV Niger Delta Postgraduate Scholarship has been announced by Shell, and it’s important to note that it’s only available to applicants from Bayelsa, Delta, Imo, and Rivers states, and they must be Nigerian citizens.

The objective of this scholarship is to provide postgraduate study opportunities for qualified applicants.

The scholarship covers tuition fees and also provides a stipend for students.

To be eligible, applicants must demonstrate intellectual ability and leadership potential, possess an adequate standard of English, and have completed their National Youth Service by September 2022.

Additionally, applicants must be between the ages of 21 and 28 by 30/09/2023.

4. The Petroleum Technology Development Fund Scholarship

This is one of the scholarships that is currently available in Nigeria, which was created under Act No. 25 of 1973, after the Gulf Oil Company Training Fund Act was repealed.

The scholarship covers tuition fees and is open to Nigerian applicants who hold at least a second class upper degree, possess basic computer skills, and have obtained 5 O’level credits including English Language.

5. MTN Foundation Scholarship 2023

This scholarship program is aimed at attracting exceptional full-time students who are currently enrolled in public tertiary institutions in Nigeria.

It is among the list of available scholarships in Nigeria and provides financial aid to students who may struggle to pay their tuition fees.

The scholarship is also intended to recognize and reward outstanding academic performance.

Additionally, the scholarship is renewable on an annual basis for current awardees until they graduate, provided that they maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.5 or its equivalent.

The scholarship is open to second-year students.

The scholarship covers tuition fees, as well as books allowance and a stipend.

To qualify, candidates must be enrolled as full-time undergraduates at the 200 level and have achieved a minimum CGPA of 3.5 or its equivalent (2:1), as well as a minimum GPA of 3.0 (upper credit) from the Ordinary National Diploma (OND) programme.

Applications must be submitted by August 15th, 2023, to be considered.
