Excellence Scholarships at Bond University offer up to 50% tuition remission for either a single or approved combined* undergraduate degree (excluding the Bond Medical Program).
These are awarded to students who demonstrate high academic achievement, leadership skills, and community involvement.
Excellence Scholarships are available in two categories:
1. Excellence Scholarship
2. Judge John Newton Mooting Scholarship

These Opportunities Have a Value that Includes:
- 100% tuition remission for any single undergraduate or postgraduate degree or diploma (excluding the Bond Medical Program).
- free accommodation for the first year should the scholar wish to live in a University residence.

Excellence Scholarships at Bond University Eligibility Criteria
The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship:
- Available to Australian students applying for any single undergraduate or postgraduate degree or diploma at Bond University (with the exception of the Bond Medical Program).
- The assessment of this scholarship will be made from reviewing the student’s Bond University online application form, personal statement, sporting resume, a summary of achievements, leadership qualities, and references.
- The scholarship is open only to applicants who satisfy the University’s relevant admission requirements.
Required Documents for Excellence Scholarships at Bond University
To apply for Excellence Scholarships at Bond University, applicants will be required to submit the following documents as part of their scholarship application:
- A School reference (you will be asked to provide your Career Advisors details as part of the scholarship application form and we will follow-up with them directly to provide a reference);
- Evidence of your leadership, initiative, and service to your school and/or community, including 2 references. Please use the Summary of Achievements template to present this evidence; and
- A scholarship essay that answers the following questions:
- Talk about a problem in the world today that you would like to solve. Why is this important to you and what would you do to fix it? (200-300 words)
- Tell us about an experience that has shaped your current philosophy to life. How did it lead you to apply for this scholarship? (200-300 words)
Judge John Newton Mooting Scholarship
Applicants will be required to submit the following documents as part of their scholarship application:
- A School reference (you will be asked to provide your Career Advisors details as part of the scholarship application form and we will follow-up with them directly to provide a reference);
- Evidence of your leadership, initiative, and service to your school and/or community, including 2 references. Please use the Summary of Achievements template to present this evidence;
- Copies of certificates from the Bond University National High School Mooting Competition; and
- Personal statement (max 500 words) – Reflect on your participation in the Bond University High School Mooting Competition, and what you have learned during that process about yourself, about the law, and advocacy. You should also reflect generally on your interest in the law and legal advocacy.

How to Apply for Excellence Scholarships at Bond University
Upon completion of the Bond University Online Study Application form, eligible students can apply for this scholarship via the Scholarship Application Form.
Students must complete and submit their scholarship application prior to the application closing date. No late scholarship applications will be considered.
