– Federal Government SDG Scholarship –

The Federal Government of Nigeria is now accepting applications from suitably qualified students into their Federal Government SDG Scholarship. It is a fully funded scholarship for all students.

About Federal Government SDG Scholarship 

The scholarship is tenable in Nigeria and takes effect from the beginning of the academic session. It shall not be held at the same time with another Award nor for part-time studies.

Change of course, or institution is not allowed.

The Scholarship award is to assist the scholar in the payment of:

• • Institutional charges and fees and
  • For Personal maintenance;
  • SDGs Scholarship is for females only.

4. Agriculture

5. Liberal Arts/Social/Management Sciences

6. Entrepreneurial Studies,

Scholarship Award Eligibility

The Eligibility Criteria for Nigerian Award/SDG are:

1. Applicants for postgraduate studies should possess a minimum of first degree with Second Class Honours Upper Division. Applicants must be registered Full-Time students of Federal or State Universities.

2. All other applicants (UG, HND &NCE) must be registered full-time students in their second year or above in Federal or State Universities, polytechnics, monotechnics and colleges of education.

3. All undergraduate Scholarship applicants (Physically challenged inclusive) must have at least 4.0 Cumulative Grade Points Aggregate (CGPA) on a five (5) point scale or its equivalents or 5.0 on a 7 point scale.

How to Apply 

Application forms are completed online:

1. Complete form online

2. Submit and Print a copy

3. Attach Photocopy of the following documents to the Printed Copy:

• • Letter of Admission to the Institution
  • Current Course Registration Form
  • CGPA results of years 1, 2, 3, etc.
  • Current School’s Identity Card
  • Letter of Identification from your State/Local Government
  • Two (2) passport size photographs with your name written on the back and duly signed by you.

4. Printed Copy should be endorsed (signed and stamped) by your HOD or Dean of Faculty of your institution.

5. Submit one set of the printed and endorsed forms at the venue of the interviews as scheduled below.

Printout of the completed application form should be brought to the interview centre along with photocopies of:

1. Educational certificates.

2. Letter of admission to the institution you are studying.

3. Course Registration.

4. Last sessional examination result.

5. Identity card.

6Letter of identification from your State/Local Government.

7. 2 passport-size photographs.

General Notice

During the application, candidates are expected to indicate:

1. Choice of programme preferred in order of priority (i.e. Nigerian Award (N/A), Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) scholarship for girls only).

Note:

1. You are to fill out and save your information on each of the sections on the form one after the other thereafter apply on the last section of the form.

2. You can go back to any of the sections to edit your information and save again as much as may be necessary by the closing date.

3. All asterisk (*) fields are compulsory.

• This application does not attract any processing fee. Therefore, beware of fraudsters!
