The Google Africa Developer Scholarship

The Google Africa Certification Program has been created by Google with the objective of providing software development training to 100,000 individuals in Africa.

This program is designed to assist successful candidates in achieving certification in Google’s Android, Web, and Cloud technologies.

In its fifth year, the program is offering an additional 30,000 opportunities for Android and Google Cloud training to aspiring and professional developers across Africa.

Participants selected for the program will gain access to carefully curated training content and hands-on learning experiences.

They will also have the opportunity to engage with a pan-African network of peer learning groups and community mentors who will provide guidance throughout their learning journey.

The scholarship program will be delivered through a comprehensive learning curriculum by Google’s partners, Pluralsight and Andela, aiming to equip motivated learners with the necessary skills for entry-level and intermediate positions in software development.

Eligibility for Scholarship

To meet the eligibility criteria for the Google Africa Developer Scholarship program, applicants must satisfy the following requirements:

1. Must be a minimum of 18 years old.

2. Must be a resident of a country located within Africa.

Selection Criteria

As the number of spots available in this program is limited, it is highly recommended to begin your application promptly to avoid missing out.

Priority for advancement within the program will be given to applicants based on their completion of the onboarding survey, the extent of Pluralsight content consumed, and other relevant demographic factors.
