IVHQ Medical Scholarship for Medical Volunteers 2023 Portal Updates
IVHQ Medical Scholarship which is fully funded and sponsored by International Volunteer HQ, is presently accepting applications from eligible students.
The IVHQ Medical Scholarship
IVHQ offers Medical Volunteer International placements in various healthcare fields such as nursing, dentistry, psychiatry, and more.
The scope of work depends on the volunteer’s experience and qualification levels, and they can exchange knowledge with local healthcare professionals and international volunteers.
IVHQ also provides comprehensive support services, training, and in-country assistance for volunteers.
Selection Criteria for IVHQ Medical Scholarship
The judges will assess the applicants’ responses in the application form based on the following criteria to select successful students for the medical placement program:
1. The applicant’s existing experience and personal attributes and how they relate to a medical placement abroad.
2. The applicant’s motivations for pursuing a career in medicine and volunteering abroad.
3. The applicant’s interpretation of how a medical placement abroad will impact their immediate or long-term goals in their chosen field.

Eligibility Requirements
1. The scholarship accepts applicants from any nationality pursuing a career in healthcare, medicine, or nursing, including pre-med and pre-nursing students, healthcare-related field students, and qualified professionals.
2. Applicants must be 18 years old or above during the nomination period and have a valid passport with at least six months of validity.
3. Even if applicants are still undecided about their volunteer destination, they can still apply for the scholarship.
Value of Scholarship
1. Two-week medical volunteer abroad program with IVHQ in your preferred destination.
2. A flight voucher (worth up to US$1000) from STA Travel.
3. A two-week travel insurance policy from World Nomads.
4. The course offered by Global Travel Academy is called the “Certificate in International Volunteering” and is available online.
