Jewish Scholarships 2019

Based on Jewish values, The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles convenes and leads the community and leverages its resources to assure the continuity of the Jewish people, support a secure State of Israel, care for Jews in need here and abroad, and mobilize on issues of concern to the local community, all with our local, national, and international partners.

Brawerman Fellowship

The Geri & Richard Brawerman Leadership Institute was established through a multi-million dollar gift from community leader Geri Brawerman on behalf of herself and her late husband Richard, making it possible for The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles to develop and sustain a talent pool of engaged Jewish young leaders in perpetuity.

The Brawerman Fellowship, we develop and sustain a talent pool of Jewish young leaders for our community in perpetuity. The Fellowship provides an annual $10,000 college scholarship — a total of $40,000 over four years — and participation in a larger program that builds leadership skills and further strengthens Fellows’ connection to Jewish life through retreats, a trip to Israel, and other overseas opportunities.
