– London Neighborhood Scholarship –

University of Auckland is now accepting applications from suitably qualified students for their London Neighborhood Scholarship. It is a fully-funded scholarship for all students.

About the Scholarship

The Westminster story began in 1838, when Sir George Cayley opened the Polytechnic Institution at 309 Regent Street in London.

In 1881, philanthropist Quintin Hogg bought the Royal Polytechnic Institution building and moved his Young Men’s Christian Institute into 309 Regent Street, which soon became the publicly funded Regent Street Polytechnic.

The London Neighborhood Scholarship supports aspiring young architects from the heart of London’s communities.

The scholarship is for students studying an undergraduate architecture degree in London and provides £10,000 per year (£30,000 in total) to cover material costs and living expenses.

Requirements for London Neighborhood Scholarship 

To be eligible for the London Neighborhood Scholarship:

1. You must hold a September 2022 course offer from a London school of architecture for a full-time undergraduate degree in Architecture.

2. You must have lived in London for at least 3 years.

3. You must be able to demonstrate a household income of below £25,000.

4. You must be under the age of 25 at the time of applying.

Documents Required for Application

The following documents must be included in your application

1. Completed application form.

2. Up to date CV.

3. Sample portfolio (PDF max 10mb).

4. Proof of residence in London for the past 3 years (eg: letter from your current school).

5. Proof of household income below £25,000 (eg: student finance application or eligibility for free school meals).

6. Evidence of offer(s) to study architecture at a London school of architecture.
