The European Union along with the European Government States also provides government-funded EU scholarships to attract international students into Europe. Just like European students, international students are eligible to apply to hundreds of Universities in Europe that are tuition-free.

1. UNIL Master’s Grants in Switzerland for Foreign Students
Deadline: November 1st
The University of Lausanne in Switzerland offers the UNIL Master’s Grants on a competitive basis to international students who wish to pursue a Masters Degree at the University.
The scholarship is granted for the minimum statutory period of the program chosen by the student. It amounts to CHF 1,600 per month from 15 September to 15 July (or 10 months a year) for the complete duration of the master’s program.
2. Lund University Global Scholarship Program
Deadline: February 15th
The Lund University Global Scholarship program is a selective, merit-based scholarship program that recognizes top academic students from outside the European Union/European Economic Area (and Switzerland) who wish to apply for a Bachelor’s or Master’s Program offered at Lund University. The scholarships may cover 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% of the tuition fee.
3. University of Bologna Study Grants for International Students
Deadline: April 30th
The University of Bologna awards study grants and full tuition fee waivers to deserving international students who wish to register for Master Degree Programs at the University of Bologna.
Each Unibo Action 2 study grant is awarded for one academic year only and amounts to a total of €11.059, gross of all charges for the beneficiary’s account. Each Unibo Action 1 waiver is awarded for one academic year only.
4. ETH Zurich Excellence Masters Scholarships

ETH Zurich supports excellent students wishing to pursue a Master’s degree at ETH with two scholarship programs: the Excellence Scholarship & Opportunity Program (ESOP) and the Master Scholarship Program (MSP).
The Excellence Scholarship (ESOP) consists of a grant covering living and study expenses (CHF 11,000 per semester) as well as a tuition fee waiver while the Master Scholarship (MSP) consists of a partial stipend for living and study expenses (CHF 6,000 per semester) as well as a tuition fee waiver.
5. Eric Bleumink Scholarships at University of Groningen

The Eric Bleumink Fund awards scholarships to talented students and young researchers from developing countries. The scholarships are towards a 1 year or 2 years Master’s degree program. The grant covers tuition fee, costs of international travel, subsistence, books, and health insurance. The grant is awarded for a 1 year or 2 years Master’s degree program.
6. Nottingham Developing Solutions Scholarships
Deadline: April 30th
Developing Solutions Scholarships are designed for international students who want to pursue a Master’s Degree at the University of Nottingham and make a difference in the development of their home country. The scholarship provides 50-100% support towards tuition fee.
7. Transform Together Scholarships for International and European Union (non-UK) Students
Deadline: May 31st
Transform Together scholarships are open to international students and European Union (non-UK) students applying to a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate course taught at Sheffield Hallam University. Half fee waiver (50%) is available for postgraduate courses and for each year.
8. Eiffel Scholarships in France for International Students
Deadline: January 11th
The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Program was established by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs to enable French higher education institutions to attract top foreign students to enroll in their Master’s degree programs. The Eiffel scholarship for Master’s level includes a monthly allowance of €1,181 (a maintenance allowance of €1,031 and a monthly stipend of €150) and can be awarded for 12-36 months.

Gates Cambridge Scholarships are one of the most prestigious international scholarships in the world. Scholarships are awarded to outstanding applicants from countries outside the UK to pursue a full-time postgraduate degree in any subject available at the University of Cambridge.
