The Nabanna Scholarship 2023 is an annual scholarship program that is available to students worldwide. This scholarship opportunity is supported by Nabanna, a prominent environmental technology firm operating on a global scale.

The competition is accessible to individuals who are presently enrolled in an accredited college or university and are pursuing a course related to sustainable development.

The application process is user-friendly and can be completed within a few minutes.

To apply for the Nabanna Scholarship, you only need to submit your academic transcripts and a brief essay outlining why you should be considered for the award.

Eligibility for Nabanna Scholarship

These are the eligibility criteria for a scholarship in the State of West Bengal in India:

1. The candidate must be an Indian citizen.

2. The applicant must be a legal resident of the state of West Bengal.

3. The applicant must be enrolled in an educational institution located in West Bengal after completing the State Board/Council of Secondary/Higher Secondary Education or a State-aided University in West Bengal, or any professional course such as engineering, nursing, pharmacy, or medicine.

4. The candidate must have scored 50% to 59% marks in the Madhyamik examination for H.S. level or 50% to 59% marks in the Higher Secondary examination for U.G. level or 50% to 52.99% marks in graduation for P.G. level.

5. The candidate should not be receiving any other governmental (central/state) scholarship or stipend for the same course or stage of study during the last year.

6. The annual family income of the candidate should not exceed Rs. 1,20,000.

Document Required

As a part of the Nabanna Scholarship application, students are required to submit the following documents to support their application:

1. A photocopy of their tuition or admission fee book.

2. Copies of their mark sheets from all previously passed examinations.

3. Copies of their rank card and allotment letter from the selection committee (only for JEE or equivalent examinations).

4. A recommendation letter stating the monthly income of the student’s family, issued by an MP/MLA to the Honorable Chief Minister, must be submitted as a copy.

5. Self-bank account details, including IFSC code, branch code, branch name, account number, and bank name, along with a photocopy of their bank passbook.

6. A copy of the monthly family income certificate issued by a DM/SDO/BDO/Group-A Govt. Officer not below the rank of Joint B.D.O./Deputy Commissioner of Corporation/Executive Officer in case of Municipality, must be submitted.

7. The student must submit a self-declaration regarding their current course of study, including the year/semester, as well as any receipt of scholarships, aid, or assistance.

This self-declaration must be countersigned by the head of the student’s present institution, along with a seal.

Selection Process

The selection for the Nabanna scholarship program will be based on the student’s performance percentage in their most recent examination and their family’s financial condition.

Once the application form is submitted, the evaluation process may take three months or more to complete.

The CMRF Cell of the Chief Minister’s Office will review the scholarship application. The application may be forwarded to the District Magistrate or Commissioner of Police in Kolkata for additional verification.

The scholarship funds will be deposited directly into the bank accounts of the selected students.
