The NDDC is reinitiating its Foreign Post Graduate Scholarship Programme to equip the youth with the necessary training and expertise to effectively engage in the Federal Government’s local content initiative.

The program also offers an opportunity for students to specialize in their field of study, enabling them to compete internationally in various professional domains.

Eligibility For NDDC 2023

1. You must be a native of one of the following states: Rivers, Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Imo, or Ondo.

2. Applicants seeking to pursue a Master’s degree program must have obtained a first degree with at least a 2nd Class Lower Division, while PhD candidates must possess a strong Master’s degree from an accredited university.

3. To be eligible for the scholarship, candidates need to have secured admission into a post-graduate program in one of the subjects mentioned above at a foreign university.

4. Applicants must not already be enrolled in an overseas university to be eligible to apply.

5. A guarantor from the applicant’s community or clan, who could be a member of the National Assembly or State House of Assembly, the chairman of the Local Government Area, a first-class traditional ruler, or a high court judge, must provide a written statement attesting to the applicant’s good behavior.

6. Applicants with criminal records, such as convictions or evidence of cult participation, will not be considered for the award.

7. Applicants are required to have fulfilled the compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) obligation.

Scholarship Requirements

The application is to be submitted online through the Commission’s website.

Initial screening of candidates will be based on their WASSCE or NECO undergraduate degree, with preference given to those with a First Class or Second Class Upper.

A Local Government Identification Computer-Based Test will be conducted by consultants in each Niger Delta State to assess the candidates’ IQ in English, Mathematics, and General Paper.

Candidates must achieve a minimum test score of 70% to be considered for the scholarship.

Only the most qualified applicants will be shortlisted for further consideration.

The final round of verification will be conducted by the Local Government Areas and Community Development Committees.

How to Apply for NDDC Scholarship 2023

To apply for the NDDC Postgraduate Scholarship, follow these steps:

1. Visit www.nddc.gov.ng to access the NDDC scholarship site.

2. Use the NDDC Scholarship Portal to access the application form.

3. Click on the scholarship publication.

4. Follow the instructions provided on the portal to register and complete the Scholarship application process.

5. After completing the application, print your scholarship registration form.

6. Wait for a response regarding the status of your application.

    NDDC this is indeed an opportunity to give the less privilege a chance at higher education, am not really cleared on something, i want to know if actually u need to get a written document from Member of National Assembly/State House of Assembly, Chairman of the LGA, First Class Traditional Ruler and High Court Judge.
