2. The Amelia Earhart Memorial Scholarships & Awards

Again, this is one of the Pilot training scholarships for international students. And it’s provided by Amelia Earhart memorial foundation. Amelia Earhart was a Charter Member and the first President of The Ninety-Nines.

Also, she was the first woman pilot to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean and flew to new horizons. And this was in 1937; during an attempt to fly around the world.

The Amelia Earhart Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1940. However, it was to honour her memory. Also, it was to perpetuate her ideals and love of flying.

From a single scholarship of $125 in 1941, the scholarship has grown to help over 750 women from around the world. And it aims at helping them advance and succeed in aviation and aerospace.

4. ALPA’s Student Scholarship Program

This scholarship is provided by ALPA’s. Also, each year the Association sponsors four $3,000 scholarships. And these scholarships are available to the dependent children of medically retired, long-term disabled, or deceased ALPA members.

One scholarship is granted to an enrolling college freshman. And it is renewable for three additional years, provided the student maintains an adequate grade point average.

Also, under that proviso, three scholarship renewals are made to a sophomore, junior, and senior.

Furthermore, all applications received are carefully reviewed with serious consideration given to financial needs. As well as academic performance, before a selection is made.

➣ Award Amount: The total monetary value is $12,000. However, this is with $3,000 disbursed annually to the recipient for four consecutive years.

➣ Requirement: Applicant must have adequate academic standing. Also, must maintain a 3.0 GPA.

Additionally, must be a son or daughter of medically retired, long-term disabled, or deceased pilot members of the Air Line Pilots Association.

5. NGPA scholarship
