Marketing Scholarships 2019 for Aspiring Student – While there are lots of opportunities available in the marketing field and it is a growing field, the fact remains that a bachelor’s degree, at the very least, is a needed in order to advance your marketing career. Most times, a master’s level degree, or higher, is needed.
But these degrees don’t come that easy and cheap. Scholarships for students studying marketing are one way to make the cost of a degree more manageable and accessible and as such this article will take right through the top 20 marketing scholarships you might find interesting and in line with your taste.
1. Ad Club of Albany Scholarship
Deadline: March 6th
As an affiliate of the American Advertising Federation, the Ad Club of Albany offers an annual scholarship for $3,400 to graduating high school seniors, undergraduates, and graduate students who are declaring a major in marketing, advertising, or communications.
This scholarship is only open to students attending an accredited college in Albany, Columbia, Fulton, Greene, Hamilton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Warren, and Washington counties of New York’s Capital Region.
Recipients will be chosen based on their creativity, work samples, financial need, academic record, letters of recommendation, and career objectives.
2. All-American Vector Marketing Scholarship
Through Vector Marketing Corporation, the All-American Vector Marketing Scholarship program awards a grand total of $50,000 annually to reward the company’s top sales performers with tuition assistance to return to school.
Eligible recipients must be currently employed with Vector, meet sales requirements, be enrolling at an accredited U.S. or Canadian college, carry at least 12 credits per semester, be furthering their education in marketing or advertising, and provide a copy of their current semester registration. Top sales representatives will be awarded scholarships ranging in value from $250 to $1,000 apiece.
3. Collegiate ECHO Marketing Scholarships
Deadline: December 12th
For the past 30 years, Marketing EDGE has been hosting the Collegiate ECHO Marketing Challenge to provide college students with the unique opportunity to turn marketing theories into practice by working in teams on an assignment from a corporate sponsor.
In order to compete for up to $5,000 in scholarship funding, teams of two to four undergraduate or graduate students must come together to create an integrated marketing campaign using all direct and interactive channels to increase sales for their sponsor.
Participating teams must submit an executive proposal, strategic summary chart, video presentation, detailed budget, and forecasted results.
4. International Food Service Editorial Council Scholarships
Deadline: March 15th
Ranging in value from $500 to $4,000 each, the International Food Service Editorial Council (IFEC) offers several scholarships annually for outstanding students who’ve declared a major in marketing, public relations, advertising, marketing communications, or journalism with the goal of specializing in the food and beverage industry.
Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution working toward an associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree.
Qualified candidates should demonstrate financial need, have a strong academic record, submit good character references, attach an official transcript, and write three 500-word essays addressing their ideal foodservice career.
5. Lee Epstein Scholarship Fund
Deadline: April 15th
In honor of the co-founder of Direct Marketing Days in New York (DMDNY) and his half-century career within the direct marketing industry, the Lee Epstein Scholarship Fund was established by Marketing EDGE to encourage young people with bright new talent to enter the direct marketing arena too.
Each year, the fund awards several scholarships of varying amounts to deserving undergraduate marketing students attending an accredited four-year institution in the Tri-State Area of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
All applicants must write a 500-word essay describing how courses or work experience have sparked their interest in marketing.
6. National Dairy Shrine Milk Marketing Scholarship
Deadline: April 15th
Co-sponsored by Dairy Management Inc., the National Dairy Shrine (NDS) awards an annual Milk Marketing Scholarship for up to $1,500 to five undergraduate sophomore and junior-level students who are pursuing careers in the marketing of milk and/or dairy products.
To qualify, candidates must have declared a major in marketing, dairy marketing, agricultural marketing, dairy product development, dairy quality control, or food product science at an accredited four-year institution.
Recipients will be chosen on the basis of leadership potential, relevant work experience, academic ability, financial need, and career interests in the milk marketing field.
7. PPEF College Scholarships
Deadline: March 16th
Since its inception in 1989, the Promotional Products Education Foundation (PPEF) has awarded college scholarships for $1,000 to $5,000 to full-time promotional products industry employees and their dependent children to pursue undergraduate or graduate-level education.
Though requirements vary slightly, most require applicants to be enrolled full-time in a four-year accredited U.S. institution, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and express a clear intent to work in the promotional products industry upon graduation. Applications must be accompanied by official transcripts, current resumes, letters of recommendation, financial need statements, and personal essays detailing career objectives.
8. Rob Branham Scholarship
Deadline: April 25th
Established in honor of a long-time sales executive and broadcaster who battled leukemia and passed away in 1993 after a bone marrow transplant, the Rob Branham Scholarship is awarded annually through the Ad Club of Connecticut for up to $2,000.
The scholarship is designed to promote the highest industry standards of excellence by encouraging bright undergraduate students to enter advertising, marketing, and other supporting fields after graduation.
Selection will be based on applicants’ academic achievement, SAT/ACT scores, involvement in extra-curricular activities, and career plans. It’s advised that candidates receive a referral from one of the Ad Club’s professional members.
9. Bob Johannsen Memorial Scholarship
The Pi Sigma Epsilon Fraternity offers the $1,500 Bob Johannsen Memorial Scholarship annually to undergraduate or graduate student members who are pursuing accredited degrees in marketing, business, sales, or advertising.
To qualify, candidates must attend a four-year U.S. university, have at least one semester remaining, have good standing, pass a Skype interview, and participate in the PSE National Convention. Other marketing scholarships include the Debbie Khalil Memorial Scholarship and Whan Memorial Scholarship.
10. Bunge North America Scholarships
Deadline: February 1st
Funded by the St. Louis food production company, the Bunge North America Scholarships award $1,000 annually to eight undergraduate students who are pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degrees for careers in agribusiness.
The Future Farmers of America (FFA) accepts majors in marketing, communications, business, management, sales, finance, and agriculture. Qualified candidates must reside in the contiguous United States, exhibit strong leadership potential, and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA.
11. FormSwift Startup Scholarship Program
Deadline: August 15th, October 15th, December 15th, or March 15th
Each quarter, the FormSwift Startup Scholarship Program is available for high school seniors, college undergraduates, and graduate students who are studying at accredited colleges in the United States or abroad, especially marketing majors.
Contest participants must create a detailed business plan infographic for advertising a startup, restaurant, nonprofit organization, transportation company, or clothing retailer. The only restriction is that students can’t be related to FormSwift’s staff or affiliates.
12. Harold K. Douthit Regional Scholarship
Deadline: March 31st
Sponsored by the Ohio Newspaper Association, the Harold K. Houthit Regional Scholarship grants $1,500 annually to sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are attending accredited in-state colleges for majors in journalism, marketing, advertising, or communications.
Qualified recipients must have graduated from high schools in select Ohio counties, achieve a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, submit two writing samples, desire careers in the newspaper industry, and attach a 750-word autobiography.
13. MillerCoors National Scholarships
Deadline: July 3rd
The Adelante U.S. Education Leadership Fund offers several $3,000 MillerCoors National Scholarships every summer to Hispanic and Latino/students who are pursuing bachelor’s degrees in business disciplines, such as finance, marketing, sales, accounting, international business, and supply chain management.
Competitive applicants must take at least 12 credits per semester, have rising junior or senior status, show academic promise with a 3.0 GPA or higher, and demonstrate significant financial need.
14. NEDMA Direct Marketing Scholarships
Deadline: February 12th
Undergraduates pursuing a marketing degree at an accredited four-year college in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, or Connecticut should apply for the New England Direct Marketing Association Scholarships.
These $3,000 scholarships are reserved for sophomores and juniors overcoming financial obstacles to build a career in direct marketing. Selected recipients also benefit from a trip to the NEDMA Conference, mentoring, summer internships, and marketing workshops.
15. Vincent J. Arena Scholarship Award
Deadline: March 15th
In memory of the PPAI Hall of Fame inductee, the Vincent J. Arena Scholarship Award was created by the Promotional Products Association International to bestow $1,000 each year upon industry employees and their dependents who are pursuing accredited undergraduate study, particularly in marketing.
Eligible recipients must undertake at least six credits per term, maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA, pursue an associate or bachelor’s degree, and show long-standing commitment to the promotional products industry.
16. AWC Seattle Professional Chapter Association
Deadline: May 1st.
Applicants to this scholarship must be Washington State residents who are college juniors, seniors, or graduate students attending a four-year school within the state.
Students must be majoring in an approved area, including marketing. Selection is based on excellence in communications, contributions toward communications, scholastic achievement, financial need, and work samples. The monetary amount of the award varies and the scholarship deadline is May 1st.

17. IFEC Scholarship Award
Deadline: March 15th
Offered by the International Foodservice Editorial Council, this scholarship is for students enrolled in accredited, degree-granting postsecondary institutions. Students must demonstrate training, interest, and skill in the foodservice industry and be majoring in an approved area, including marketing. Winners must submit application materials by March 15th and could receive anywhere from $500 to $4,000.

18. Rob Branham Scholarship
Deadline; April 26th
Offered by the Advertising Club of Connecticut, this scholarship is for students attending or accepted into an accredited university, technical school, or trade school. Students must be majoring in either advertising, marketing, broadcast media, or print production.
Students must also be sponsored by a member of the Advertising Club of Connecticut. The award amount for the scholarship, which is due April 26th, varies based on a number of factors.

19. LAGRANT Foundation Scholarship for Graduate Students
Deadline: February 28th
This scholarship is for graduate students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents and are either African American/Black, Asian American/Pacific Islander, Hispanic, or Native American/American Indian.
Students are only eligible if they are full-time students at an accredited university, have at least a 3.2-grade point average, and are majoring in an approved area, such as advertising, communications, or marketing. Applicants must submit all materials by February 28th in order to be eligible for the $5,000 award.

20. Ellie Byers Memorial Scholarship Fund
Deadline: March 15th.
To be eligible for this award undergraduate students must be residents of Frederick County, Maryland and be attending a post-secondary institution full-time.
Students must be pursuing a degree in public relations, marketing, or advertising. Students must demonstrate academic achievement, financial need, commitment to community service, involvement in extracurricular activities, and strong character. The amount of the award varies and the application is due March 15th.
