University of Leeds International Excellence Scholarships, which is fully funded by the University of Leeds, is presently accepting applications from eligible students.

The University of Leeds International Excellence Scholarships

The University of Leeds, located in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, is a public research university with a rich history.

Originally founded in 1874 as the Yorkshire College of Science, it later merged with the Leeds School of Medicine in 1884 and was subsequently renamed Yorkshire College.

In 1887, it became a constituent college of the federal Victoria University, alongside Owens College (later known as the University of Manchester) and University College Liverpool (later known as the University of Liverpool).

The university’s origins are closely tied to the growth of Leeds as a prominent hub for the textile industry and clothing manufacturing in the United Kingdom during the Victorian era.

Its roots can be traced back to the establishment of medical schools in various English cities, catering to the needs of the public.

Scholarship Value

This scholarship offers a reduction of 25% to 50% on tuition fees.

Eligibility for Scholarship

To be eligible for the scholarship, you must fulfill the following criteria:

1. You should be classified as an International student for fee purposes.

2. You must have submitted an application for the 2023/2024 intake to a Masters program that falls within the eligible courses category.

3. You need to be a self-funded student.

4. You must possess a strong academic background and either have achieved or are predicted to achieve a Bachelor’s degree with a 2:1 (hons) or an equivalent qualification.

5. You should demonstrate exceptional professional and personal skills, substantiated by work experience and/or involvement in extracurricular activities.

6. You should exhibit the potential to contribute to the social and cultural diversity of our Masters programs and the student community.

Application Instructions

In order to meet the requirements for the scholarship, it is necessary to have submitted an application for the 2023/2024 academic year to a Masters program listed within the eligible courses section available on the school’s official website.

Application Deadline

Applicants who apply within the specified application deadline for a given stage will receive a notification on or before the decision deadline.

Successful candidates are required to respond by the acceptance deadline.

If applicants do not receive a response by the decision deadline, they should assume that their application was unsuccessful and refrain from submitting another application.
