Out of the 1,009 secondary schools that participated in Lagos State, the 10 best schools in the junior category are Whitesands School, Lekki; St Francis Catholic Secondary School, Idimu; S-Tee High School, Festac Town; King’s College, Lagos; Grace High School, Gbagada; Saint Gregory’s College, Obalende; Landmark College, Ikorodu; St Finbarr’s College, Akoka Yaba Lagos; Meadow Hall College, Lekki and The Learningfield Schools, Satellite Town. The highest-ranking students from these schools scored between 92 and 100 percent to rank in the best mathematics school in the state.

The Cowbell Mathematics Competition, organised by the manufacturer of Cowbell Milk, Promasidor, is now in its 21st year. The competition has distinguished itself as the No. 1 mathematics competition for secondary school students in Nigeria and strives to identify, recognize and reward excellence in the subject of mathematics.

The Cowbell mathematics Competition is a foremost learning platform promoting excellence in STEM education and encouraging the total development of Nigerian children. The Cowbell Competition’s programmes aim to awaken the consciousness of and interest in mathematics among junior and senior secondary school students in Nigeria while also improving students’ performance in mathematics across Nigeria.

The 2019 official results confirm that 56,076 secondary students participated in both senior and junior examinations.

The Cowbell Mathematics Competition is approved by the Federal Ministry of Education and endorsed by the National Examination Council (NECO).

In addition, Cowbell has developed other engagement platforms including the Cowbellpedia Secondary Schools Mathematics TV Quiz Show, the Cowbellpedia Radio Programme, and the Cowbellpedia Mathematics Mobile App.
